I realise this topic has been beaten to death in many other forums, but I have yet to see this topic, so here I go!
What species and occupation will you have for your first(or main) Star Wars Galaxies character?
My answer:
I will be a male human explorer the first time around. Everything is new just waiting to be discovered. He'll probably be little of a loner, but will be rather easy to talk to. His primary weapon will be a blasterrifle and his equipment, well.. anything that will be needed to survive out in the wild. The skills he'll develop will be the blasterrifle and the various survival skills. In time perhaps he'll develop into a guide of some sort.
With my luck though, he'll probably be eaten by the first animal he stumbles upon :p .
Well i have to choose between 2 things.
1. A Twi'lek. a sort of trader. or a rebel or something.
the name: ill try to get Nawarra Ven :D
2. A human. again the asme as the Twi'lek :D
the name: hopefully GARIK LORAN. he is my favorite character!

Well com raven... we surely should look for eachother... i mean the expansion set.. with the ships and all... we can fly a YT-1300 ... thw both of us :D :D.. so we can call it the The flying german :D :D

About the name, "windu" will probably be in the name censor so I'll have to come up with a totally new name. I'll think up a good Jedi name.
I will probably call my character "Weej Nodak". And, well, if there's a way to become Jedi, I'm going to try it out but only as long as it doesn't interfere with my scouting and exploring too much. The force is a rather grand thing to discover though. :)

Why wouldn't you want to be a bounty hunter? I really want to have multiple characters so that I can hit every part of the game, but as I stated earlier... Jedi is my first goal. I think being a bounty hunter would really be fun if you were into the solo aspects of the game. You wouldn't have to worry about factions, etc.
I forgot to mention my name.... I'll pick "ZeroXcape" first, but as for what I'll play with... no clue yet really :)

The main reason not to be a bounty hunter for me is that everyone seems to want to be one. I can easily imagine Galaxies with nothing but bounty hunters running around. Just trying to counter that... ;) I'd rather be something unique ( not that there are no other shopkeepers ) than just going with the "coolest" characters.
Maybe I'll be a bounty hunter hunter... ;)

Wraith 9, I'm pretty sure those names are not available. Remember, they are blocking all forms of Luke Skywalker from the game, and considering the amount of detail they are putting in, I'm sure they are blocking out every name in the EU.
