Isn't there any rumour about Grim Fandango 2, is it going to be a sequel or not ?
No rumors. LEC hasn't made any anouncements about what advernture games it's making, although it's said there are two in the works: one original and one sequel. Nothing else is known.
There was a clue that Simon gave at one of the chat events that pointed towards a different game, but who can be sure what he meant?
What about that screenshot of Manny and Meche or Domino and Meche and they were standing outside Max casino.

Are you talking about that 'screenshot of the week' LucasArts did months ago? If so, that picture is behind the table of contents of GF's manual. 'Tis an old picture.

Actually, there are a few rumors floating about. Honestly though, the way GF ended, it's gonna be hard to have a GF2 that will compare to GF.

yeah, they'd have to bring in a whole lot of new characters, and that would ruin the GF essence for me.
Nah! I need a new adventure game, why not be a GF2? Even if it wasn't that good, I'd still love GF just the same. It doesnt need to be called GF2, but similer story. Well the under world and all that, I love it. So I ask why not?

Everybody thinks that gf2 would be impossible. The story dont have to be the same. They can change loads of things. LEC created an entire WORLD...they followed the story of ONE guy...theres tons of things they could do. Personaly i dont care for all this "oh the story is complete" stuff....yes... MANNY'S story is complete. But there is tons of stuff that could be dont to create a new story. A new charcter without ever mentioning what went b4.
conclusion: MAKE ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 99.9 percent sure that the next LEC adventure isn't going to be GF2, or within the GF universe. I can guarentee that it's not another Monkey Island game (since that was the last one they released). They've gotta make at least one adventure in-between the MI episodes.
Well, it's supposed to be one original and one sequel. Sequel, sequel.... Well, yeah, MI5 is out for now. GF2, not likely. S&M2, not LEC. FT2? That'd be nice (wonder how Roy Conrad's doing, anyway). The Dig 2: Landfill? Suuuure. More tentacles? (Not those. Pervert.) Could be.
Full Throttle seems the more promising to me. Not that that matters any.
I'd like to see a sequelization of just about any LEC adventure, now that I think about it. I just want more LEC adventures period!
