This things sucks.
I started the installation on my kids' pc (amd 450, 256 ram, Geforce, Live card, plenty of space on C & E (installing to E), Win XP with all updates). The computer went 'black' (eight year old technical term). I rebooted the PC and went to reinstall GB. It asked to start the game (???). I tried to uninstall and it wouldn't. I went to the DataSet for a manual install and it gave me the following error "An installation support file 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\engine\6\Intel 32\iKernel.exe' could not be installed. The Filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect". I have removed every LucasArts file I could find from the registry. I have reinstalled iKernel and double checked the com permissions. Nothing works.
What a pile! The system isn't great but it works well on everything so far. Does anyone have any suggestions?!?
