I thought these things would be like magonels, you know, knock troops with shrapnel. These things only hit in a concentrated area, if I'm right... Am i? If so, don't you think they have lost 1/2 of their ability, because they can't hit troops moving, and don't have effect attack, I think.

They're just like mangonels.. They just have a slightly smaller effect range. but they still take out trees :D

They have a very small area of effect, so they aren't as effective against troops as the mangonel.

In my experience they are pretty effective against troops and they do have area of effect attack. In fact, if they attack a building your pummels are attacking it will actually effect your OWN pummels.

It should effect at least some of the pummels, because of the area of effect. So area of effect can be good and bad.

I've noticed too, that if a building is in the way of the artillery's fire, it hits the building instead of it's intended target.

I had my artillery attack a jedi master that was chopping up another artillery cannon of me. Both were destroyed by it's fire. So it works like the mangonel, just on a slightly smaller area. Of course, if you have a horde of cannons firing, this effect is increased.

They won't be, but you can upgrade to level 4, you must not be using them correctly cuz they are very effective
