I saw a screen shot of a space map and i was wondering if there were long range attacks for planes so they can take out anti air missle turrets without getting hit by them so you could land your troops, it would suck if you had to attack with close range fighters to destroy turrets because on space maps people would just surround their base with anti air turrets. We all know how hard it is to take out turrets with fighters its almost impossible. Do the bombers get an addition to there range from an upgrade or somthing. I dont think that they took this into account.

I don't beleive there are any range upgrades. Bombers have a range of 1. You can take out a limited number of anti-air silos with bombers. Fortresses or shielded silos are impossible to take out via air. Are you sure there are not land bridges on the space maps?

Use transports to get your heavy equipment int it's base ... you might want to bring a LOT. Escorted by fighters and bombers ofcourse

A floating fotress might not have many ground troops so thatt might be an advance to you. Take out the defences first then bring in the rest. When you have your spot ... start building a military base ...

Indeed ... think D-Day. The loss will be big ... so be prepared.

If you haven't noticed, it takes a while to kill transports :D

Consider my renowned "Drop N' Spank" strategy.

Load up a few transports with the following combination(s):

5-10 Pummels
5-10 Bounty Hunters
5-10 Sith/Jedi
5-10 Mechs (not necessarily needed)

After loading, proceed to bring the transports into the enemy's base. If you move them fast enough, the missiles can't hit your transports. Even if they do, it takes a LOT to kill a transport.

After you unload the units, immediately set your pummels to work on destroying the command center or other crucial building(s). Use your other non-siege units to defend the pummels or to kill worker droids. This will hurt their economy very badly, and it takes a while for a worker droid to make another command center.

Just another strat from the game ruler Eets :D
