I posted about this before...but it seems to have got lost in the forum move. And then i couldn't be bothered to come back to the forums for a while as the new ones are a bit annoying.

Right, if i type in www.jediknightii.net) into the IE address bar then IE just hangs and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL out of it.
It hasn't worked since they started moving all the forums over...

It works in opera though... anyone have any ideas about this? DNS or caches files or something?

any ideas would be appreciated..

you could say which version you are using
I have no problem with IE6

And whats precisely annoying about the forums?
They have worked very well and most people like them

and another thing, this thread will probably be moved to tech help

I have had these problems too with IE 5.0 and 5.5 in Windows 2000 a while back. I haven't been able to figure out why, but they just stopped on their own after a few weeks.

version 5 of IE. Windows 95 OSR2.

all was working great until the big move a week or two ago, and i haven't forund any other site that crashes my browser... so i was thinking it might be something to do with dns or something... "hosts" files or something come to mind...

tried it with a new ISP...didn't work.
It doesn't load anything... just gets one little blue line for the loading indicator and then nothing happens... and if you CTRL-ALT-DEL it is [not responding]

guess teh forums aren't so bad after all... it was just the combined annoyance of getting used to the (far more complicated) interface (all those buttons ;) ), losing all my posts, losing a few recently posted posts, lots of newbie related reposts of old topics and having my computer crash every time i tried to get to them... put me in a bad mood. got used to them now though....:amidala:
