Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site and this game (I have not played the demo). I have never played AoE so I have no idea how the controls work and all, but I will find out! :)

I have a question. Does anyone know how many people have pre-ordered this game?

Or if not a total overall, how about does anyone know how many on this forum have pre-ordered?

Look forward to playing with ya'll in about 3 weeks, Novemebr 12, release. (Well, that is what I have seen on ebgames anyway!

Thanks

Hi Toothless, welcome..

only a few marketing people at Lucasarts will have a clue on how many pre-orders there are, since they see the whole picture.
If it's a lot, you'll probably read a snippet about it somewhere around the release. If a game 'ships gold' that basically means that 50.000 or more pre-orders were made, so that's the only indication i can give you. Mind you that 'going gold' (getting ready for manufacturing) is different than 'shipping gold' (shipping 50.000 games because they were pre-ordered).

take your time in finding out all you want to know about GB; you're in for the ride of your life !

As far as how many people pre-ordered on these forums; we have over 600 members now and i'd guess about 10 % pre-ordered...

A big welcome from Texas, the greatest state on the Union! You'll love the game, I think, probably as much as this forum!:)
