Okay I've tried and tried but I havn't found the fabled way to change the generic names to unique names (Mech Destroyer/ At-St)
HOW DO YOU CHANGE IT???
There was some way in AoC with triggers. SHould be able to do it here.
Gaber promised there was a button to change the generic names to unique but I havn't found it yet:(
VE SHALL HUNT ZE OPTION DOWN!
what do you mean exaclty by "generic names"
does this allow you to change the name of a person or to change the name of a perticula unit type? for example call at-at's dr deaths mean machine or something like that
No...Their generic names are names like Mech Destroyer...or Strike Mech but in the SW universe they are called (for Imperials)At-St...At-Pt
Sadly, I don't think it was added. But believe me, I DO HOPE it was. AT-ST sounds way better than Mech Destroyer.
Gaber sia there would be an option...maybe in the full game they will have it...because Mech Destroyer is getting really anoying
I would imagine that the generic names are just for the demo
Dang man, you posted that reply so fast that by the time the page reloaded it was already there (and I use cable)
It's probably an option under the options menu but it wasn't selecteable or added into the demo. If Gaber said that there would be a button, then there will most likely be a button.

Yeah that is what I think too...but I spent about 20 minutes looking for that button...but to no avail...I looked in the combat menus and in the regular option menus...nothing...:(
In designer diary 4 they said that it was hard for people to find a anti air unit while there base is being atacked by tie bombers so they might not have the other name option.I hope they do though like strike mech and trooper recruit all those names get annoying after awile
find it easier to find ann AT-AT or N-1 when its called an AT-AT or N1 :)
Its that little bit of personalisation. AT-AT 1-10 is better than 10 Mech Destroyers or whatever

they do say that...hold your mouse over the mech destroyer button(where u click to make it) in the left hand side of ur screen i will say Mech Destroyer and then below that it will say "Light AT-ST"...same thing w/ strike mech, and you cant change the names till you get the scenario editor
