With JK2 we dont actually know much about the story or timeline.....Raven are still sorting out the details.
Why dontchu list the complete timeline? at least for the books. Fitting the comic book stuff in there was a nice touch, but you left out at least 10 points on the line. That might help you narrow it down quite a bit.
If you don't have one, say so, ill go scrounge up a book and post one.

Just FYI, there is already a thread on the timeline, started by Drifter. I posted a bit more of a comprehensive timeline (without the comics), here...

Of course, as the others stated, the actual time of JKII is still open to speculation, as nothing has been totally confirmed yet. ;)

Well, that timeline includes all the books and all the games in the DF series. I'm not sure of the exact place where all the comics go so I just left them out. So, there you go. :)
hey guess if you want to know the complete timeline go pick up the Essential Chronology book(in the Essential Guide series) not only
does it have the complete timeline in the back but it gives in dept look at each event
huh, well, if one of the locations in the game is Yavin, then that gives us a really neat glimpse at who we might see as far as NPC's in the game.
It's aproximately 2-3 years after Luke started the Jedi Academy, so I'd assume most of the characters from KJA's trilogy are still there.
Makes you wonder how they're going to render jungle territory, thats traditionally really hard to do, especially since yavin is supposed to have pretty dense Jungles.

umm, kyle must be getting to be an old bastard by then time jedi outcast takes place, i mean, he looks like a young buck in some of those screen shots, i know there not final, and i know the exact time of JO isnt finalized, but our info on Jedi point to the fact that they like to be less involved in physical activities the older they get, like the council was all old farts, and all the really old jedi are usually secluded on some planet of minimal habitance, of course this doesnt hold true for dark jedi i suppose. well, if my thinking is way out of whack, someone please whack me with a spoon, and correct me...
If we assume that Kyle Katarn is in his early twenties at the start of Dark Forces (approx. 1 year prior to ANH), then he should be around his mid-thirties at the time of Jedi Outcast, which is set approximately 14 years post-ANH. I'd hardly call him that old. ;)
I don't think we should be that bothered about the actual chronological order of events, as long as it fits to the canon which it has to anyway there won't be a problem.

Its interesting to consider because it gives us clues as to the locals and the events we might get placed in while playin the SP campaign. duh.
That 'duh' better not be aimed at me, it was a valid point.
