The question I would be asking is if there is an Elite Force port, or if they have mentioned anything about a SOFII port.

The Quake3 port was developed by iD themselves. Some Raven titles that went to linux were Heretic II and Soldier of Forune. Both were ported by Loki).

Let's hope Jedi Knight II goes Linux! :)

They wouldn't put it on console unless it really, really sucked.

They definatly wont put it on a console as the fan base are mainly with the PC. Consoles couldnt handle what RAVEN are on about anyway.

Quake3 had a linux and Mac version and it seems to me, they came out pretty close to the release of the PC version. I think EF appeared on Mac, but I'm not sure about linux. I also think there is a linux dedicated server version for EF, but that's not what you originally asked about. I suppose if the market is there and they can do it easily, I'm sure they wouldn't want to turn away hordes of paying customer? How many people _really_ use linux? Are there any reliable figures anyone can dig up?

It may be quite difficult to find any figures
