i dont know how many of you guys are running linux, but anyone know if they are planning a port to linux? I know that there is a UT port...is there a Quake3?
The question I would be asking is if there is an Elite Force port, or if they have mentioned anything about a SOFII port.
The Quake3 port was developed by iD themselves. Some Raven titles that went to linux were Heretic II and Soldier of Forune. Both were ported by <a href="

Let's hope Jedi Knight II goes Linux! :)
and lets hope it DOESNT go console :)
If you keep saying that it might happen! :(
They wouldn't put it on console unless it really, really sucked.
They definatly wont put it on a console as the fan base are mainly with the PC. Consoles couldnt handle what RAVEN are on about anyway.
Rave...You've got 222 posts...How are you still a mercenary?
What is a mercenary good or bad?? I've only got that many cause every thread if there have been enough replies i will post a message everyday just to try and get a conversation going. Oh yeah.....and mainly cause im on the internet all day!
Quake3 had a linux and Mac version and it seems to me, they came out pretty close to the release of the PC version. I think EF appeared on Mac, but I'm not sure about linux. I also think there is a linux dedicated server version for EF, but that's not what you originally asked about. I suppose if the market is there and they can do it easily, I'm sure they wouldn't want to turn away hordes of paying customer? How many people _really_ use linux? Are there any reliable figures anyone can dig up?
It may be quite difficult to find any figures
