The last time a post was made in the Fracture forum was September of 2010. That makes this officially the deadest of the Lucas forums here in May of 2015...

Oh, crap. :max: I guess I messed that up, huh?

Anyone lurking here?

Brother, you don't know the half of it... ;)

To illustrate my non-defined point, I will quote from T.S. Eliot's poem 'The Wasteland' a brief passage:

Madame Sosostris, famous clairvoyante,
Had a bad cold, nevertheless
Is known to be the wisest woman in Europe,
With a wicked pack of cards. Here, said she,
Is your card, the drowned Phoenician Sailor,
(Those are pearls that were his eyes. Look!)
Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card,
Which is blank, is something he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself:
One must be so careful these days.

:max: Which is why I don't use tarot cards for fortune telling, but for playing poker.

*(Lays down the four of swords, cups and pentacles, death and the tower.)*

Full house. I think.

Double posting in a forum no one visits. This will be read by no one. That is kind of the point...

The Wasteland Revisited

A user manual by Zoom Rabbit
Inspired by 'The Wasteland' which he did not entirely read

Master Eliot's wasteland is but a station stop to me,
A stillness perhaps to one from that time period,
But the crystal veil reveals to me the TRUE wasteland,
Suffering not in its unknowing remote timeless beyond.
See how it can be visited,
In the distant future when all the suns have died and the worlds stopped their spin,
Not an erg is created now as all energy is gone...
Not burned out--gone.
We visit whole worlds bathed in eternal dark,
Ice sculpture cities erected by the last beings whose starships too are still in space but forever motionless
(Even the momentum has been ground down to zero as the dying universe sought to steal the last of its energy!)
See the gossamer frozen dragonfly wing impossibly poised in flight,
Note the bittersweet arrangements left by sentient beings who wished to leave only beauty, art for the eyes of no one at all.
Only a samurai would understand.
Nothing can be created now, and nothing destroyed.
What has become is all that ever will be.
There is no waste in this land for there is no future.

:max: Abysinthe, anyone?
