Did you get permission from the authors?
Currently waiting on permission the discussion over on deadly stream is me talking picking the brains of HH, zybl, Stoney and anyone else familiar with the first usm tslrcm patch to see how difficult it would be and if it would be worth it for me to try it out.

I'd suggest chatting with the USM's authors as they might have a few tips to speed you on your way. Having their blessing is - without a doubt - always a nice thing as well.
If/when I get permission from the authors I am going to see if I could get some helpful tips if I need them
