so we both have balance of power

i have tcp ip selected, this is on lan

windows 7 btw

i enter the host's ip address correctly 192.168.1.234

and host is already hosting.
But it just sits there on connecting

same thing happens if I host

why is this? Same lan and everything, 192.168.1.0/24

Is windows 7 the problem? Help please, thx.

UPDATE: Ok, finally, we got it working; 2 steps to go:

1. Make sure windows firewall is not blocking
2. Open up the following ports on the router for the host ip: 2300-2400, 47624 and 6073. once for TCP once for UDP

Today, we got it running in LAN, Win7 64b, TCP/IP, 3 players, and everything worked just fine.
So after all, I can confirm that it is actually playable in LAN on Win 7.
