UTC placement?

Might sound like a noob question but alas for I started modding yesterday and my goal is a character switch-out, swapping HK for a female jedi watchman using Taepelae's model (KoToR II if for some reason it's not clear what game I'm talking about :p).

So after I mess around with a UTC where do I put it or do with it to have it take effect in-game? I've got Hk's line edited for the physical appearance in the 2da but I don't know where to put the edited UTC.

The complete overhaul on his dialogue is gunna be a while so I'm not gunna worry about that yet :¬: but I'll eventually need to know where to put that as well if anyone feels like helping out :)

You put it in your override folder! :D
If you don't have one, just make one. Also IIRC for .utc's to take effect the character you are editing can not be encountered yet, meaning if you edit HK, he will only be different if he has not been added to your party yet.

Whichever game this is for, meeting her could be awkward; buying a jedi in a store or finding her locked in a little room on a ship might be silly :p

Good luck though, hope this helps.

Ooo ok, that would be why. Been testing everything on a character with hk already in party.

Haha ya, I suppose it will be slightly awkward but the plan is she is also an assassin droid technically (having the brain of a droid and most of the inner parts. But she has a human heart and body, almost like general grievous) and her role does not change from that of hk really since I've no idea what I'm doing when it comes to scripting.

Although I intend to play with the dialogue to make her a female love interest, as juhani was in kotor 1, just to give female pc's in kotor 2 at least one option as far as thats concerned since males have visas and thats about it in the default game.

thanks a bunch for the insight on my bumbling efforts :raise:. Cheers! :)
