Okay, I am in need of some serious help. I have been googling for the past hour. And the link in the Modeling section for downloading GMax's MDL stuff is broken. Anyways, I just need plugins for GMax to use MDL's with it. I have a custom saber hilt, and I want to make sure that all the dimensions are correct, and to export it as well. I downloaded Milkshape, blender, and several other programs to try to open it. Dx Seems nothing likes that format. Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

You'll need the most recent version of NWMax (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=other.Detail&id=626), MDLOps (http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php#skmo), and KotOR tool (http://kotortool.starwarsknights.com/) to get your model files into gmax. There should be enough tutorials here to show you how to use them and what you need to do to import/export models.

That's all I needed, thank you :D
While I'm at it, how do .mod overrides work?

a .mod is a module file. Which is a composition of .are, .git, and .ifo files *along with any other files you are going to be using in the level(s)* and they get placed inside of the "Modules" folder, not the override folder. To be safe, keep a backup of the original module and/or folder
