Well I know we have at least a couple K-ON! watchers here. For those of you who aren't familiar with the show, it's a comedy about 4 high school girls in the light music club who at first are trying to save the club as they are the only members and 4 is the minimum.
Yui Hirasawa is the protagonist of the show, a clumsy first year girl who does not play any musical instruments entering the show. She ends up learning the Guitar after joining the light music club.
Mio Akiyama is the bassist of the light music club. She is shy (kawaii~) and childhood friends with Ritsu (below) and was forced into the club by her.
Ritsu Tainaka is the club president and plays drums. I can't think of much else to say about Ritsu. :p
Tsumugi Kotobuki is a rich girl in the light music club who plays keyboard. She always brings expensive snacks to club meetings which keep Yui interested.
So far I'm enjoying the show a lot, like I said in the what are you watching thread, it has really made me laugh a few times. I would say Yui is my favorite character, I like Mio too though. It's definitely very moe but if you don't mind or can get over that then it's a pretty good watch. CoalGuys is subbing the show.
The music to the show is great too. OP:

See YouTube knows what it's doing, Mugi on the preview pics ftw!
I enjoy this music. I shall watch this show you speak of!
Mio is the best. :D But I have this odd attraction to accident prone girls, so I also like Yui. hehe
Mio is <3. Episode 4 was one giant exercise in showing just how moe~ Mio could be. So cute. :3
Mugi is also awesome, even though she's pretty much the same 'disgustingly rich girl who is soft-spoken and always smiling' stereotype that's in every anime. I think it's the eyebrows that compel me.

o_O
I thin Mugi is the most forgettable of the bunch, even though I had the least to say about Ritsu in my op. :p
I have not watched episode 4 yet, hopefully I'll get around to doing that today.
Finally got around to watching #4. Mio... is the goddess of Moe. hehe
Also, Mugi's eyebrows remind me of the guy from FLCL that had the gigantic press-on eyebrows. lol
Don't gut me yet, but I watched the first episode and... meh. It wasn't any fun, actually. What exactly is so cool about it?
This music is horrid at first. But, if you listen to it long enough, you start to like it.
needs an ozzy cameo
it'll be like lucky star except they rock the **** out

Its hard to explain why I like it. Cute characters, funny.. but theres nothing really compelling me to watch it. >.>

Moe moe... Kyun.. <3<3<3
Edit: WHAT WHAT WHAT... CoalGuys have episode 1 in widescreen now... why didn't they do that to start with... ¬_¬
This needs moar Krauser, liek in ep 1.
Husky-voiced Yui approves of episode 5.
Also, Sawako a runner-up for second favourite. xD
Episodes 5 and 6 had me laughing my ass off most of the time. The performance wasn't "God Knows..." quality, but I didn't really expect that out of a song about fluffy marshmallows. There's still tons of room to improve.
Oh and Mio just keeps getting more moe every episode. Between her and Mugi's bi-curiousness, I think this show just might be the end of me. xD
Good, Im not the only one seeing a yuri vibe between those too. >.>
Mio-chan is nosebleed-worthy in #6. Sooo cute.
I so didnt expect that ending, even though I should have. Poor Mio, scarred for life...
That ad shows up on almost every page load jerk. >:|
I am behind, I think I have only watched episodes 1-3 so hopefully I'll have time to catch up this weekend. Sounds like it's been pretty good so far.
Needs more hot music teacher teeth-picking the guitar.
Needs more Yui with her scratchy voice of doom... that part where they were doing the sumo bit had me laughing hard.
I haven't seen any episodes lately, I'm on vacation in Vegas, losing all my money :(
Well I watched episodes 4-6 today, still liking it. Definitely agree with you guys, sooo moe~ Only thing I don't get is how Yui seemingly learned guitar overnight. Looking forward to the next episode.
lol, i forgot that "k-on" was another anime (havent moved to it yet of course)
I thought the thread was about:
ivXk-Tr5miU
Yui learned it so quick because shes an idiot-savant. lol She puts her mind to it, and forgets everything else.
#7... Poor Mio, she always gets the brunt of everything. lol
Ui is the best little sister ever <3
I know! I wish I had a sister like her.
Anyone seen #8 yet?
New member desu!
Yeah I watched it the other day. The show needs to stop trying to be Lucky Star and do more music stuff. I still love it for the moe though. :3
I noticed... but its still cute. I like it... perhaps cause I liked Lucky Star so much. >.>
Well I did too, but I think the music could be so great in the show based on the OP and ED and we have barely gotten anything yet.
Mugi-chan is definitely a lesbian.
I think Yui's friend is as well.
This is a bit late to ask, but where would someone find K-ON? I really don't know where to find it:(
CoalGuys is subbing it, search in Google for them.
CoalGuys? Okay, I'll google it, thanks, Darth Moeller:D
I tried CoalGuys, but one time I downloaded from them, I got some random crap that was supposed to be Maria + Holic... havent gone back to them since. Chihiro does good subs.
Forget google and just go to animesuki.
Animesuki? Okay, I'll check that out...my Computer is having problems with CoalGuys as well at the moment, my computer lacks a certain program needed for the downloading...so I'm a bit upset on that...the computer is very new, so I'll have to find the needed program. Thanks for the tip, Aash:D
#9 - new member, kawaii.
Yeah this is definitely like a musical version of Lucky Star... just less chibi-style. heh
I felt so bad for Mio, but I couldnt resist giggling about it, cause she acted like a cat who just had a kitten brought into her house. xD Yui was pretty funny as well.

bassist is a man to preemptively clear up any questions and i want one of those scarves
You win the thread!! Awesome video. :D
Edit: I get envious watching this show. I never had a school life like this, or even close. Never had any friends to speak of. Kinda depressing to think about... :|
Yeah, not long enough. The last episode was good, but overall the series had wasted potential. None of the performances were very good, even though the OP and ED are great.
I just finished the last episode
Anyway, I think it was extremely cute and funny, but agreed, it could've gone so much farther. It was just too short, and the way the 13th Episode ended, you wanted another episode to come, if they wanted to end it, give it some sort of closure.
But still, I liked, and found it quite enjoyable:D
Heh, I'm still chuckling over the phone call between Azu-nyan and Yui, when the cat hairball thingy happened...
"Don't send me strange texts at a time like this!!!"
Something about it just caught me as funny:D
^^That sounds like a good prediction...surely they are not that unwise to break off a successful anime like this....we like it too much!!! GIVE US SEASON 2!:D
and the way the 13th Episode ended, you wanted another episode to come, if they wanted to end it, give it some sort of closure. The 13th episode was just an extra episode, the 12th was meant to be the finale. Anyway I enjoyed the series, but like Jeff said, I wish there were more songs.
^^My mistake. Still, it felt like an episode:D
