Trying to get character designs down and some practice in. Going to eventually do a comic/manga, but that is years off.

That's very, very good. Every limb seems equally proportioned, and there's a a great amount of detail and precision, particularly the extra pockets in the denim jeans.
The only thing I'd suggest is to work on the facial features. Don't be reluctant to add more pronounced segment, such as larger cheeks, as any sort of "unique" element adds more humanity to the figure. Either way, this is really professional-grade stuff.
And once again, I'm reminded why I stick to drawing exaggerated, and almost cubist people. :p
