Hey guys! Dropping in to ask for some assistance. I am searching for a good trackball mouse that has multiple buttons and preferably a DPI control.
Here's the catch, I'd like the trackball to be controlled by thumb movement. You can see an example of this style by looking at Logitech's trackball mouse.
Any ideas?
Wwwwwoooooooow, that's a tall order, Rp. :D
Logitech's offerings are really all that's left besides a few discontinued ones from other companies. Microsoft had a really cool multi-buttoned one but they go extremely high even on ebay nowadays (like 100+). Your best bet is probably just a Logitech cordless Trackman.
I used to have one of those Microsoft ones, that thing was ****ing awesome, you should see if you can find one for a reasonable price.

Good deal?
It's listed as $413.00 on Amazon... :(
Right now it is but it's a fairly new auction and will probably jump quite a bit. Also it's from Aussieland so shipping could run you a bit and it could also be covered in kangaroo and or dingo feces.
Nothing against them or anything, but what's the attraction of trackball mice? Unless you have very, very limited desk space, I never really understood what the point was.

In this day of the wireless laser mouse, they still make those things?
No offense, but I put the track ball mouse up there with like the dot matrix printer, and a palm pilot.

Agreed.
My neighbor used to have one of those, it was pretty epic.
