I was thinking of making a mod that replaces KotOR's music with OT and, perhaps, even a few PT songs. Here's my question: Would thing be considered stealing even if I credited John Williams?

According to the RIAA ripping MP3s from a CD you own for personal use is stealing, so freely distributing copyrighted music to the public would likely result in a SWAT team busting down your door.

So my idea for replacing K1 music with Battle for Middle Earth 2 rise of the Witch King is out the window now? Aww...

If I can make a suggestion. You aren't going to get permission from John Williams to use his music. But you could try checking out the Audio Portal at Newgrounds. As long as you credit the author, you can use it as much as you want.

That, or you could just not put a mod like that up for downloads and keep it strictly to yourself.

Time to close this thread as it seems to have served its purpose. -RH
