I've heard alot of talk about this game being an overly praised tech demo. That it couldn't sustain a whole game. Do you guys think that this game will be good? I played the demo which I liked alot but I don't think I would spend $60 on it (same goes for Force Unleashed).
I do think it should be cheaper. I'll wait for it to come out and see what people say.
I think the key factor is whether or not the other elements of the game can hold their own. :)
Yeah. The whole premise is still sort of a Gears of War-eseque third person shooter. The terrain changing element is a big feature and will hopefully complement the game's underlying elements.
I'd buy because I want to see how the terrain-changing thing works out in multiplayer. Using the terrain deformation would completely upturn the standard way most shooters are played.
Terrain deformation capabilities is the "revolutionary" aspect every game nowadays seems to claim for itself. That said, while the idea may be good without a decent level design, a good AI and, damn, fun gameplay, what's it besides a wasted good idea?
They should've used the terraforming aspect in one of those fun physics games, rather than an all too common shooter. It seems that for a game to be revolutionary or new these days, it has to be a shooter. I say no.
I'd give the comic a lol. Where did you find it?

Nice Comic! The other dude has a point you know. "sinking the country and building a new continent".
