As I'm currently inspired by both the Matrix movies and the Underworld movies, I got the idea of creating a war between the vampire and lycan exile programs within the Matrix with blue- and redpills mixed into the fight along with the familiar Agents and the lovable Merovingian. It will take place in the same Matrix as the movies, Version 3.5, but before Neo is found. Possibly even before Morpheus is found, who knows.

In any case, here goes.

For several human generations the machine exiles have been hunted down by both redpills and agents for being a threat to either section of the conflict before machine and man. But few know even the exiles have infighting as fueled on by an ancient blood feud between vampires and werewolves, the start of which nobody remembers anymore. Not even the machines. For this entire time the Merovingian has sought to unite exiles beneath his grasp to both safeguard the programs from persecution by agents and to fulfill his job within the program.

Recently the war has escalated into full blown wars out in the streets of the virtual world disturbing the missions of all other sides, making everyone involved one way or another, despite them not necessarily wanting to take part in the conflict between programs. However, the threat of missions being either foiled or interrupted by the conflict is ever present. The choice to do something about the matter has come, but will the neutral parties take action or will the war grow rampant to the point of crashing the system? The chance has come but the decision still lies undecided...

Short history: As a program, Azrael has been coded for the purpose of eliminating purposeless exile programs. However, as he is from the previous version of the Matrix that created along with him Seraph and the Twins, he has also become an exile of sorts and thus has slowly begun to disobey his code. As so he is split between fighting the exiles for fulfilling his duty and fighting the agents to preserve himself. To aid himself in this decision he has approached several times redpills of various ships, testing their resolve before confiding anything to them that could prove important to the humans. He has also approached the Oracle several times, but to no avail due to the "higher angel" Seraph denying him the guidance he requested due to failing the challenge against Seraph.

Short history: Phronesis has for a long time been a believer that the world is not as it seems. And he was right too. After an extremely close call with agents one day he was approached by the crew of the Berserker that had been observing this from afar. Feeling confident in the kid's potential they freed him from his slavery to the machines and opened his eyes. Within years he became one of many talented fighters and gunners in the ranks of the soldiers of Zion.

As the war between programs escalated, Phro proclaimed that the redpills should take advantage of the situation and turn programs into fighting also against the agents and other machine-loyal programs that posed a threat to the freed humans. However, later on when even redpills and bluepills were being seriously endangered by the fighting he has started to lean back from this view and has started to reconsider what it would mean if the chaos escalated. He certainly could not live with the guilt caused by the death of millions if not billions by the Matrix crashing.

Favored weapon: Black IWI Desert Eagle, chambered in .44 Magnum. Carries both standard lead slugs and silver bullets for dispatching Lupines and Vampires.

Favored fighting style: Krav Maga. He fights far more brutally than most other Agents, often using improvised weapons like sections of pipe.

Short history: Black is one of a few Agents with the sole purpose of wiping out the Exiles. Owing to the fact that Exiles are more than capable of defeating him given superiority of numbers, Black operates as something of a scout, locating entry points into the Unformatted Spaces where Exiles hide and then ordering a strike by other Agents. Since his initial activation some sixty-one years ago, he has terminated some one hundred Exile processes personally and broken three significant Exile bases. His ultimate goal is the termination of the Merovingian program, but he has made little process.

Short History: Blue grew up in a what would be called a too-normal childhood. Stuck behind a dead-end job, failing his univertisty grades and hobby for computer hacking, Blue becomes in doubt of who he is. And eventually, what kind of world he is living in. With his insational curiosity of what the matrix is, and learns too much, he is immediatly eyed upon by the sentinal agent programs but eventually rescued by the resistance and free as one of their own. Now he lives free in the real world, as a crew member for the Berserker. For the past few months, Blue has become from a simple low-life to cunning and skilled warrior.

Of course. To some extent my first character is a rogue program.

Name: Jacob Wallace

Alias: Preacher

Age: 19

Side: Bluepill (Potential Redpill)

Favored weapon: None.

Favored fighting style: Untrained in any combat style.

Short history: Wallace lived a relatively normal life, blissfully unaware of the truth, too comfortable in his existence to question the truth, until one day, a year ago. While driving his sister to school, he blundered into a running gunfight between Agents and Redpills, where he was nearly killed by an Agent using his car as a leaping point.

The resulting wreck seriously injured Jacob and shattered his sister's spine, and while he recovered from his injuries, he was left to reflect on what had happened, the sheer impossibility of anyone making a nearly twenty foot jump onto a moving car and then leaping off again to move to closer range made no logical sense. His further frustration and confusion at the pointless maiming of his sister left him questioning what the hell the point is.

No longer willing to accept what he is told is entirely real, the 'willing ignorance' has lifted. He's noticed other strange goings-on, although he is uncertain as to what they really mean. He's taken to trying to persuade others that maybe everything isn't as it seems, earning him the rather derisive nickname of 'Street Preacher'.

Appearance: He looks like a fairly average college student, short cut black hair and blue eyes. He's a bit grungy of late, having started neglecting the need to shave and shower every day, and has a nice growth of stubble. He usually wears a grey hoodie and jeans.

Frankly, we'd still need more RPers for this to work. I can start this now if you guys are up for it, but in my genuine opinion we'd need more programs as well as redpills to make this work and get people interconnected.
