Beginners' Rules (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mornington_Crescent_(game)) (May be somewhat inaccurate)

The variation is Totteridge, 1884 - Revised Second Edition.

The opening market value is 8.5%, the index at 3, investment at 8 and deflection of 3 degrees. Line Velocity is 0.8.

The opening move is, of course, Loughborough Junction.

Brixton, sir. Brixton. That's right; I'm invoking rule 74 of the revised edition: Diagonals on an inner London street corner.

The market value now stands at 15%, the index remains at 3, investment is steady at 8, and deflection dropping to 1. Line velocity has increased to 0.85.

Bah, I thought this is the Wikipedia version. And I wouldn't have played it even then, seeing as playing a Wikipedia game on a vBulletin forum is not the most productive method of passing time in the year 2008 AD.
