On June 22, 1940, French forces surrender to Germany. With this victory and a string of others, only Britain has both the strength and will to resist the Nazi march across the world. All the world's eye is drawn to the English Channel, where the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
In the occupied territories in Europe, another war is taking place, as brave men and women resist the German occupation. In the wake of German conquest, dozens of small groups formed, aiding Allied agents, sabotaging German supply lines, and ambushing Axis soldiers. They fight against not only the Axis, but also collaborating countrymen, enemies who outnumber and outgun the Resistance in every way.
In France, these forces resist both the occupying Germans in the North, and the Vichy Government in the south. With France as the nearest stepping-stone to Britain, the nation is swarming with German soldiers. In this war, there is no mercy. Resistance is punished with execution.
Several months pass, and the Blitz on Britain shows no sign of slowing. But an opportunity presents itself - Hermann Göring, Reichsmarshall of the Luftwaffe, is planned to visit Paris before continuing to the coastline to observe the Blitz. MI6 has discovered these plans and has used an agent on the ground to pass them on to a unit of Parisian Resistance.
This is the chance to deliver a crippling blow to the German war machine. An opportunity that cannot be missed.

Some basic introduction is in order. This RP takes place in Paris, during October of 1940. We will be playing a small unit of French Resistance fighters, as well as potentially one British Intelligence Agent, from an organization of the player's choice. First come, first served.
History is not going to be a concrete barrier in this RP, I'm not going to let historical accuracy get in the way of the RP. At the same time, I want this to be realistic.
I'm not going to bother with a strict template for character sheets. Invariably, I forget a modestly important piece anyway. Just think it through and remember - Real World, even if we change history a little.
Anyway.
Name: Victor Baptiste
Age: 48
Gender: Male
Appearance: Victor Baptiste (

Standard Equipment: Modèle 1935 pistol (
http://world.guns.ru/handguns/mle1935a_r.jpg), carried in a shoulder holster under his suit jacket.
Skills: Victor is a respectable shot with his pistol and despite his age is still spry and quick enough to keep up most of the time. He's also combat-experienced as he served during the Great War, and officer training has left him with ample leadership ability. He's capable of speaking Italian fluently and knows the basics of German. He also has some considerable level of knowledge about architecture.
Biography: Victor was born in Paris to a pair of wealthy academics. His youth was nothing notable other than his schooling. At eighteen, he joined the French Army.
When the Great War broke out, Victor was a minor officer under Colonel, and llater General Philippe Pétain and spent most of the war under his command, including his greatest victory at Verdun, and continued after the Great War and into the Rif War.
After the end of the Rif War, he left active duty and returned to Paris, starting a modestly successful career as an architect. Despite returning to Parisian high society, he did not fit there, being far too military and contemptuous of the insipid foolishness of the French upper-classes.
When war broke out again in 1939, he attempted to return to active duty but was denied on account of his age. Frustrated, he watched as the French army was soundly defeated and as his country surrendered to British rule. A hatred the likes of which he had never known was born in that June as his hero not only kowtowed to Germany, but leveraged it into personal power.
Desperate to fight against Germany, he began to gather together a group of like-minded men and women who resented the German occupation. He would do all within his power to free France.
