Super Mario Bros, Pac Man, and Chip's Challenge. And the chess and Mahjong games that come with Vista aren't too shabby. Oh, and Freecell is great too.

You are my hero.

You've also just completely destroyed any chance of me getting the exam results I need but that is unimportant now that I have Flash Portal!

You'll have that chance next year. But will you have a chance to play this wonderful game then? Maybe, maybe not, but you don't want to take risks. You want to play now! :xp: (I love the endless loop things :))

Quoted for undeniable truth.

Sonny and Portal, the flash version is pretty good. So's Pico's School. If you don't know what that is, you haven't been to newgrounds.

Here's another one: The Ur-Quan Masters (http://sc2.sourceforge.net/). Humorous dialogue and great gameplay.

Peggle (http://www.popcap.com/games/peggle)

I wouldnt consider peggle free, although it is worth buying($5 for ipod and $20 for computer)
Warsow is pretty fun, its a lot like quake and unreal tournement, with a different style of graphics so that people without $10000 computers can play without any lag.

Chip's Challenge.

doood! yes!

Generally I go for Breakout or games in similar style. I also like Asteriods, Invasion, and those other old arcade games, tetris is always fun. Chess and Checkers are also good.

Yes, I suppose, but the free demo is also loads of fun.

Also, if you're into 2D platformers like the old super Marios, check out Knytt Stories (http://nifflas.ni2.se/index.php?main=02Knytt_Stories).
