For the record, you need to do the quest from which you receive the Arc-170 (for free), in order to be able to fly one (you also need to have Exotic vessels cert, Box 15 I think), so it's a waste of time buying one really unless you want two hehe

That is correct. You can't fly the ship unless you do the mission according to the boards on the sony forum.
