Are you an audiophile? How much music do you have your HD?

I have about 10Gb of music and about 8Gb of audio books on my PC. Probably only about 10% appeals to me on any given day.

20-50 here, although I tend to hoard quite a bit, maybe around 70-ish, then listen through the albums and delete the ones I don't like.

Mine is clocked in at at some 7.70 GB or so. It could have been larger, but I only has 80 gigs of harddrive. :(

Like Davinq, I tend to hoard and then delete. The deleting is the hard part. :(

I've got... less than I thought I did. Just shy of 2 GB... would have more if I had more money...

I have somewhere between 6-8gb. I agree that what I want to listen to will vary day to day, and some of the music I have I don't listen to at all anymore.

My old PC had a lot, because it was mostly my brother's music. But this PC, which is solely mine, has less than 1 GB.

I wasn't sure at first, but I just checked and it was 28GB. I'm not too surprised though. I've had up to 150GB at one time or two , but I don't count that because it was for recording purposes(ie recording a band to mix and master down to CD tracks) and I wouldn't count that. As for my regular music, 28GB sounds like a lot but I'm rather eclectic when it comes to music. I listen to a bit of everything. Heck I even have recorded "Sounds of Nature" for when I'm not in the mood for music. You name a genre, I've probably got a playlist devoted to it. I could probably start several internet radio stations if I were to start just playing them over teh intarwebz

Oh and before anyone asks, Yes I have the real CD's for everything. Though Jewel cases have been boxed up for years on some of them.

Music 19.92 GB

Plus

Music Video 4.42 GB

Although I could weed out some of the music and delete the video almost completely because there is a lot of crap my 12, 11, 10 and 7 year old cousin have had me download so that they have something to listen to when I drive them around. I can’t even listen to my IPod on random play anymore for fear a Hanna Montana or Hilary Duff song will come on. :(

About 5 GB. Most of the stuff I listen to every once in a while, though. If I don't like a song, I usually delete it. Why let it take up more hard drive space?

I feel for ya, man. I can't ride the bus anymore cuz all the bus driver plays is the Diseny channel. *shivers* If I listen to one more Hannah Montana song, I am going to blast Metallica every day for the rest of the whole damn school year.

Anyways, I got about 20 gigs o' crap on my iPod, but some of the space is devoted to REd vs Blue, Buckethead vids, and music videos. But last time I check it was about 18 gigs, but most of that is crap rock from the 80s.

We'll find out who does it legally and who doesn't in this...anyone who says they have over 250 gig...downloads all the music they see...I have trouble maintaining 20 gigs.

^Mine's legal, I just like downloading from independent musicians, like from the Audio Portal on Newgrounds, or MySpace Music

Or we find out how old they are. I have over 4000 Cds, I went through and only uploaded the songs I wanted from those CDs and not every song. Now I just download the songs I want from Itunes. It is still cheaper than buying an entire CD for one song. I’m still bitter from buying Led Zeppelin’s box set (even though I already owned their collection) for “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”

1 to 10.

It's sure good to have your PC full of all that musical disaster you may like to hear, but really, anything more than 20 gigs. and you won't hear some of them at all.

The fun part is that I seldom have to delete any song.

22GB on my iPod and an extra 1GB on my computer (that isn't on my iPod). and since i buy my music by the CD, everything is backed up on different harddrives as well as the original CD's. hehe, come to think of it, its one of the few things that backed up with multiple redundacies with my stuff. :)

I have about 7 Gb on my computer right now, but my iPod only holds 4 so I have to pick and choose. If I get around to loading all my CDs (and convert my cassettes to mp3s) I'll probably have about 20 GB worth of music on the computer, but I'm in no rush to load them since I don't listen to the older music as much.

Mine clocked in at 71Gb, but I have two 500Gb HDs so that doesn't eat up too much space. 15Gb of that is unsorted downloads - I like to listen to old underground psychedelic punk from the 80s; you can't buy much of it (vinyl on eBay and the like aside) so there are dozens of music blogs that digitally encode albums and stick them on rapidshare - it's a great way to discover new music. Other than that I'd say my stuff is about 80:20 legal to illegal; I copied all my CDs years ago to save me having to cart them around all over the country when I move. My sig goes to last.fm if anyone is interested in what I actually listen to :p
