Well, I just came up with an idea to see how many people know about music and bands and stuff. It's pretty simple, someone says clues and stuff, and people ask yes or no questions to find out the answer. Please only one at a time so as to avoid confusion, whover gets the last one right may have the next turn. I'll start off, obviously.

I have 3 words in my name, the first 2 are the exact same. I am from Buffalo, New York.
My biggest hit had 4 letters in the song name and it starts with the lette 'I'.
Which band am I?

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

Next: We're named after a creature, and we have several songs with weather phenomena in their title. We're also fairly fond of wienerschnitzel.

Seeing as this has been up for 4 days and no one has gotten it, I'll just say it. Its "Monkey Steals The Peach." :xp:

Next: We formed this band after our guitarist was rejected by Metallica. We are also one of the "Big Four" Thrash metal bands, and feature a similar lineup to Metallica. Some our most famous songs are "Hangar 18" and "Symphony Of Destruction"

Sorry for the double post, too. :xp:

^ Megadeth :)

This band had it roots in LA's paisely underground scene from the throughout the 80s. Founded in 1990 with a new singer named Hope, this 60 beats-per-minute band calmly blew our minds and blurred our vision with a dark-edged psychedelia, a la the Doors and Velvet Underground. Their only commercial hit came in 1993 with "Fade Into You".

^Mazzy Star FTW.

I am a guitar virtuoso and one of the best guitar players alive (In my opinion). I am famous by my fascination with chickens and nunchuks, and never showing my face in public. I play a variety of instrumetns, ranging from the ukelele to bass and electric guitar, to the organ and banjo. I was one of the key members in the "Deli Creeps" and have played with many famous musicians, from Serj Tankian to Travis Dickerson, to Saul Williams and Gigi.

Who am I?

Extra hints: Very popular in Japan, where they've outsold the Beatles 2:1. The best selling instrumental band of all time (110 million copies of 38 albums sold). Book 'em, Dan O.

This band has been featured in the first 2 Guitar Hero games, with the songs "Decontrol" and "Arterial Black." Several of the band members are employees at Harmonix,. They are a Californian heavy metal band. Who is it?
