I recently edited a .2da to play using the version of Mandolore's armor that wasn't used in game, the one without the helmet.
I noticed that where the pipes from his helmet would usually join the suit - and at least one other crack - were seethrough. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this by editing the texture, or whether you would need to change the texture mapping.
Neither, you'd have to edit the mesh it self and add faces over the holes. I could have sworn someone had already done that. But I may be making that up.
I did check the Taris Upper City Emporium but only found a mod that enabled you to wear the armor, it didn't say anything about "editing the mesh to improve visual appeal" or some such.
