STAR WARS: A TWIST IN TIME

At last! The tyrannical reign imposed by Emperor Palpatine, or DARTH SIDIOUS, has ended. Peace has re-established itself, slowly but surely, over the course of two long years. The remnants of the GALACTIC EMPIRE have struggled to regain their power and stranglehold over Core worlds, but with little success. Failing this, they've turned to a new plan--to warp the very fabric of the space-time continuum, sending history hurtling both backwards and forwards at once. The Emperor is resurrected, and Jedi who are four millennia old suddenly find themselves in the midst of the Rebellion itself!

Who will either rise to defend the proper order of time, or fail to sustain it?

Tysyacha Dvyx brandished her double-bladed silver lightsaber and prepared for battle. Not against some Sith foes closing in, but against herself. Today was the day she'd promised herself to learn Juyo, or the Ferocity form. She never had been the best at combat, being far more skilled at the persuasive and healing arts than hacking foes to pieces with her blades, but now was the time to brush up. To dare more than she had dared, to push her limits.

"They say Jedi can't learn Juyo," she muttered to herself, "unless they've mastered forms one through six first. Well, I'm impatient, and I'm also an exile from the Order. I'm no longer bound by their traditions or their--misguidedly low expectations. I'll fix that," she muttered, "and become the first to try!"

She slipped into combat stance, breathing deeply, and then prepared for the utter deep shock of the Force overwhelming her. One, two, strike! Three, four, strike twice! It was grueling work, but also exhilarating.

Tysyacha was concentrating so deeply on her technique and full mastery of Juyo's basic moves that she did not notice the Force tremble around her. It was uneasy, as if it were about to give way during a sudden earthquake. Slicing the air with her twin blades, the Exile surrendered to the full heat of battle, not noticing the sweat pouring down her body or the odor rising from it. She'd do this, for she needed to if she'd ever confront the True Sith--

--and then chaos. With a sound between a crack and a roar, a vortex opened within the Force itself and seized the Exile with the brute force of a monster. A rancor, or the dark hunger of Darth Nihilus. Tysyacha shrieked.

When she awoke, she found her head bloodied, although not as badly as she'd expected. She was lying in the middle of a swath of pavement, located in an urban area from the metallic, blurry shapes she thought were buildings.

"Oh...my head...Gde ya?" she asked herself. "By the Force, where am I?"

Just when I thought things were going well, Anakin Skywalker complained to himself. Half a minute ago, he'd been closing in on the Invisible Hand, side by side with Obi-Wan. Then, there was a sound like none other Anakin had ever heard... and he was in Coruscant's atmosphere, with Obi-Wan nowhere to be found... or contacted. It was only by his deep connection with the Force that Anakin did not immediately crash. However, his head was a bit muddled, and so he did end up... cringe... crashing. Sort of.

Anakin drove his fighter downward to avoid a massive airbus and then tried to bring it up. Instead, the fighter hit the pavement, bounced once, and skidded along, its powerful engines propelling it forward. Anakin's eyes narrowed in frustration. "No, no, no, no..." He cut power to the engines and used the Force to slow himself down. Just barely in time, he stopped. There before him, a woman was just trying to rise to her feet.

"Well that's..." he muttered. Strange was the word he'd been looking for. Something had happened... something bad. The Force was swirling around him, as if uncertain what to think of him. The woman in front of his fighter was standing now, staring puzzled at his fighter and him inside it.

Nothing better than asking to find out what's going on, he thought to himself. And with that thought, he opened his cockpit and stepped out. Pleased with his clearing head, he strode forward and dropped off his fighter, in front of the cockpit, between the wings.

"Hello," he said to the woman, who was still staring at him. "I don't mean to sound... lost, but... where am I?" Immediately, his question struck him as idiotic. "What I mean is," he amended, "I know this is Coruscant, but..." He fell silent, all too bewildered as to how to ask the question in his mind.

"Unbelievable," Boba Fett said to himself. In one stunning move the jedi Luke Skywalker had cut up a Palace Guard. Luke was going to be executed but it appears he has other plans. Now the jedi was joined by a wookie, Calrissian, and Solo?
"How the hell?" Fett said to himself again. This fight was looking ugly.

"Unaja gesta" said Jabba Hutt, his current employer.

"On it sir," said Boba Fett who spoke Huttenese. "Well time to go to work"

Boba kicked his jetpack and flew to the nearest sail. He fired a blaster round that went unnoticed.

"Damn," Boba said to himself again.

He turned on his jetpack and flew to the sail the jedi was one. The jedi turned around and cut his gun in half. Boba instantly kicked his jets and flew back to the nearest sail. Boba raised his gauntlet.

"I may be down but I'm not out." Boba aimed at the jedi's head and hit the button. Within a matter of seconds Boba's jetpack kicked in again. He had lost control. He screamed as he hit a sail and rolled into the Sarlaac Pit. The monster swallowed him whole. As Boba fell he noticed a strange hole that was getting closer and closer. The bounty hunter fell through the whole and ended up in a city.

"What the.." he said cutting himself off. He looked down to see his blaster in on piece again. I must of entered some kind of wormhole he thought to himself.Boba did not seem startled by where he was, in fact he was grateful. The only thing that did startle him was seeing a figure fall from the sky no more than 4 miles in front of him.

"Well you don't see that everyday," he said to himself debating whether to go check it out or not. "On second thought I better go find out where I am" With that Boba Fett began walking into the town hoping to find answers.

Corran flipped his X-Wing onto the starboard S-Foil, bringing it into a corkscrewing roll. The Tri-Fighter that had been firing blasts at his tail overshot him, and he brought his crosshairs over it, sending out crimson darts at. The lasers sheared through the ball cockpit, sending it into an uncontrolled dive before it mashed into a small asteroid.

"Good shot, Nine."

They were in the middle of mopping up what was left of the Invids, a group that rode the line between an Imperial Warlord's mercenary force and a Pirate Gang, led by Leonia Tavira.

Corran's X-Wing lurched, as if an asteroid had struck him. Pain lanced through his skull, and he fell across his controls.

A moment later, he pulled himself upright again, and stared out of his cockpit. He was somewhere else. No debris surrounded him. The bone-white dagger of the Invidious was gone. His head pounded like an Ewok celebration, too.

"Whistler, what happened?"

The little R2 unit behind him didn't do anything. He twisted around. It was still there, but the lights of it's holocam were dark. "Wonderful. Whatever the hell that was shorted you out, too."

Chrono was frozen, but he could still run the navicomputer and plot a course. They had been in the Grella system, and he was pretty sure he hadn't been out long.

In a way that was still new to him, he reached inside his mind, opening himself to the Force, searching for something familiar. Mirax. Wedge. Hell, he'd settle for Booster Terrik and the Errant Venture.

What he got instead was a kick in the teeth, like sticking his head into a Mon Calamari hurricane. The Force was boiling - good luck sensing anything now. He pulled back, now keenly aware of the cause of his pounding headache. Corran flipped on the navicomputer, bringing up the display.

"Star patterns indicate we're still in the Grella system...?"

He caught himself, realizing Whistler was shut down, hardly in a shape to respond. Corran flipped on his communications.

"Rogue Nine calling Rogue Leader."

No response.

"Rogue Nine to Ten. Ooryl? Gavin? Tycho? Sithspit. This is Corran Horn, calling any New Republic craft, do you copy?"

No response. No surprise, either. He'd probably drifted through the asteroids, lucky that none of them had hit him. He brought the rest of his systems online. "Fuel levels are still good...the same, actually. Odd." He began plotting a course for Coruscant, annoyed that Whistler wasn't there. He'd have it done in a snap.

Tysyacha rubbed her head, putting a fist to the side of her right temple and applying pressure. "I'm...just as lost as you are," she said slowly, "unless this is...Coruscant? My name is Tysyacha Dvyx, last name rhyming with fluke, as there seems to have been in the Force." A searing pain shot through her side. "Could you please help me up?" She noticed how handsome and composed the young man looked, even after this terrible shock.

Anakin blinked and reached down, steadying Tysyacha as she stood. "A fluke in the Force indeed," he muttered. "Anakin Skywalker. And as to this being Coruscant..." He glanced around and nodded. "... that it is, but it's... different." He gazed up into the sky. "Not ten minutes ago, I was up there, flying with my old Master against the..." His voice trailed off and his lips flattened into a thin line.

"Something's not right here, Tysyacha Dvyx," he murmured. "A lot of things are not right here... no doubt some trick of the CIS... and Dooku... it's got his signature all over it." He scowled. "Confuse the Jedi with a dirty trick and stab them in the back..." He swore in Huttese, clenching his right hand into a fist...

Revan was meditating as he usually did normally. Searching through the unknown regions. He was wearing his star forge robes with the hood up. Also on the star forge he fashioned a mask which was also now wearing.

Suddenly Revan blinked out of his meditation and looked around. Instead of being on the ship he was on he was sitting down on top of a very large building. He slowly stood up slightly shook up. Revan quickly sensed with the force and looked around. He quickly slid down the building and climbed down towards a pedestrian area.

Revan began walking through a very crowded area. Noticing no one was paying attention to his appearance as they normally did when he walked around in his tradition Revan attire in broad daylight.

Suddenly Revan sensed with the force and looked around. Suddenly he sensed someone was force sensitive nearby. He quickly walked in the direction they were in. He finally walked through a small clearing towards a male who was helping up a girl. The girl looked strangely familiar. Revan quickly put his hood down and took his mask off. Revealing his mullet.

"Confuse the Jedi with a dirty trick and stab them in the back..."

Revan quickly recognized Jedi He walked up to the male.

"Are you a Jedi?" He asked the male.

"You!" Called a familiar voice voice from behind Anakin. Turning around would reveal a filth covered Obi-Wan Kenobi, however he wasn't what Anakin remember his master to be. He looked several years older and was very stressed. His stubble had grown into a short beard which, much like his robes, had sand and dirt woven into. The mere sight of his old Apprentice had Obi Wan reciting the Jedi code inside his head with the hopes it would hold back the hatred he'd developed for his former pupil. Getting into the life style of a desert hermit had been tough on old Obi Wan and he was constantly struggling with his emotions.

"How do you look like you do?" Obi Wan asked raising his lightsaber "I watched you burn by the flames of Mustafar!"

(Note, I am aware this may seem a bit out of character for Obi Wan, but considering what he's been through this is what he'd act like. This personality is only for a short time.)

"Are you a Jedi?" He asked the male.

Anakin nodded. "Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker."

At that moment, he heard a familiar voice.

Anakin turned, his eyes lighting up. "Master!" he exclaimed. "You had me worried... not answering my hails and all." He frowned. "Where did you crash?"

That's when the differences between this Obi-Wan and the one he'd been flying beside just ten minutes ago really sank in. As Obi-Wan raised his lightsaber, looking more ready to chop Anakin in half than to embrace him, Anakin took a step backward, his hand going to his own saber.

"Obi-Wan?" he asked hesitantly. "What's wrong?"

"Please hold a moment, Master Jedi," said Tysyacha, concentrating all her power in the Force on holding the older man's lightsaber at bay. "Hold! Clearly your apprentice means you no harm." She scratched the crown of her head. "I sense no deception."

Risking possible death with such a move, the Exile deftly stepped between the beams of the lightsabers of both Jedi. "If you wish to attack--Anakin," she said quickly, remembering the young Knight's name, "then you'll have to cut through me first."

She planted a hand on her right hip as her temple finally stopped bleeding. "What say you, good sir? Will you stand down and greet your familiar pupil as a Master ought?"

His X-Wing dropped out of Hyperspace, the City-World of Coruscant laying before him. Something didn't feel quite right. The fleets were different than from when he had left. A clipped female voice came through the comlink.

"Coruscant Docking Control to unidentified approaching snubfighter. State your intended course and identify yourself."

"This is New Republic X-Wing Aurek-Besh-7710, on approach to Coruscant. Requesting permission to land."

"Transmit Security Clearance."

That was odd. Coruscant hadn't required security clearance to land since...

"Transmitting now." He brought up the long-buried security program and activated it, attaching his security ID to his IFF."

There was a long pause on the other hand. He winced. Something was wrong, they didn't usually take this long, especially with Rogue Squadron. Then...

"Rogue Nine, you have clearance to land at the Manarai Mountains Starfighter Hangars. Do not deviate from the course we are giving you."

"Former apprentice," Anakin corrected, gently but firmly placing a hand on Tysyacha's shoulder. "But as we have just been saying, something has gone distinctly wrong with the galaxy... and I feel it has something to do with time."

He turned to his former master and said, "Obi-Wan, I don't know what I have done to earn your foul mood, but if it put you there, it must have been bad indeed." He paused thoughtfully. "Timing issue, timing, okay... timing..." His expression brightened. "Think umm... back? Yeah, it's gotta be back."

Another pause to recollect his thoughts. "Master, last I knew, you and I were flying together to the Invisible Hand... to rescue Chancellor Palpatine. Do you remember that?"

Revan slowly left Anakin and Obi-wan to reminisce. He turned to the Exile

"Wait a moment I recognize you.Weren't you a general in the Mandalorian Wars? At Malachor?"

Revan waited patiently for a response. He was definitely curtain that she was a general at the Mandalorian wars. Something about here told him that. Revan kept his hands on his blue lightsaber as he waited. Quietly listening to Akin ramble to Obi-Wan

Corran finally pinned down what was so distinctly wrong about this - Coruscant was different. Thrawn, the Warlords, and the Emperor Reborn had all inflicted serious damage to the planet or to it's orbital shipyards and defensive platforms. They'd mostly been repaired, but it still looked distinctly different. This Coruscant looked like it had just been liberated.

Uh oh.

He settled into the Force. It seemed to have settled. He stretched into the Force, trying to find guidance.

Instead, he found pinpricks of light. Many. And each of those pinpricks was a Force-Sensitive, maybe even a fully-trained Jedi. What the Sith? There were only about a hundred Jedi around, and most of them were at the Yavin Academy or off elsewhere. There was definitively NOT a meeting of Jedi on Coruscant any time soon, he would have been apprised.

The Manarai Mountains Starfighter Base loomed in front of him. He flipped on his landing sequence, then reached into the small storage compartment in his X-Wing, withdrawing his Lightsaber and Blaster pistol, attaching the Lightsaber to his belt and the blaster into it's holster.

He reached out, touching the minds of his escort pilots, and implanted a memory of his X-Wing entering the hangar. He pushed down on his stick, dropping the X-Wing lower. The two A-Wings turned around and flew away. He brought his craft around, searching for those tiny pinpricks of light again. I have a bad feeling about this...

"I remember it all to well, do you remember the turning to the dark side and slaughtering all those Jedi and children?" Obi-wan asked, lowering his light saber. The more he gave it thought, the more he agreed with his former apprentice. Something was wrong with time. Anakin's theory was supported by the strangers questioning concerning the woman's occupation during the Mandalorian Wars, a conflict that took place millennium's ago.

Boba Fett began walking when he noticed a particular building. This was where he and the jedi scum Mace Windu fought. Though he was finally dead, Boba Fett would never forgive him.

I've got to be on Coruscant he thought to himself

Though he was not able to give the finishing blow he got the next best thing. He pulled Windu's saber out from his belt and stared at it for a moment. He saw his father's death once more, and put the saber away. He began walking some more when he turned to see what looked like a fight. One man drew a saber on the other. Boba Fett stared at the man with curiosity.

Is that... Anakin Skywalker, but It can't be

The last time Boba ran into the jedi was when he was on a mission for Jabba. He was to bring in Wat Tambor dead or alive. After a near death experience with a deadly lightsaber wielding robot general, Tambor escaped. He chased after him only to get caught in a one on one dogfight. Skywalker saved his life, not only that he knew who Boba was. Boba returned the favor when a space slug had attacked them. Unlike Windu and many other jedi, Boba respected Skywalker. There was no way Skywalker could be alive right now. Boba knew he had died during the Clone Wars.

"Wait a moment I recognize you.Weren't you a general in the Mandalorian Wars? At Malachor?"

Boba looked at the man who had just spoken. He was talking to a woman.

She fought in the Mandalorian Wars! That's impossible!

Boba ran up to the man and woman as fast as he could. He paused to catch his breathe

"Excuse me ma'am, If what this man says is true how are you alive? Did you fight on the Mandalorian side or for the Republic? Did you know a man named Cassius Fett?"

He could not believe this woman fought in the Wars and lived!

Perhaps this wormhole didn't just move me to Coruscant, perhaps it did much more he thought to himself, waiting for the woman's response.

"I remember it all to well, do you remember the turning to the dark side and slaughtering all those Jedi and children?" Obi-wan asked, lowering his light saber.

Anakin's jaw dropped. "Turn to the..." he stammered. "Slaughtering the..." He fell silent in his shock. Then, he looked upset. "May the future never take me there," he said slowly. With an urgency that said he wasn't sure how long this confused time-thing would go on, Anakin strode forward to Obi-Wan.

"Obi-Wan, perhaps this is why we are here," he suggested. "Perhaps my..." He paused, troubled, but forced his way through, "... fall to the Dark Side... was not the will of the Force. Maybe this is its way of correcting it." His eagerness was overwhelming. "Master, tell me what happened, that I can be able to spot the warning signs and turn from the path of Darkness before it is too late!"

"Your visions of Padme's death," Obi-wan began to explain, believing this was his only chance to save his fallen apprentice before he falls to the dark side, "Palpatine, the true mastermind behind the Separatists, used your fear of your pregnant wife's death to manipulate you into falling to the dark side. He twisted your view on reality and caused you see the Jedi Order as an evil essence that you had to destroy. For the sake of the galaxy, you cannot allow that to happen."

"And as much as I would love this strange occurrence to put you on the straight paths, I doubt this is the reason," Obi-wan said before looking at the others "Why would they be here if your redemption was the reasoning for this. No, I sense something much darker at work..."

Tysyacha took a step backward, her shoulder still tingling from Anakin's touch. "Yes," she said to the tall, masked figure and the...Mandalorian? Surely he wasn't any different from Canderous Ordo and the recruits he'd been training on Dxun, but he sure did look different. As for the question as to whether she had fought in the Mandalorian Wars, the Exile was fully prepared to answer with the truth as she saw it.

"Yes, I did fight in the Mandalorian Wars," she began, "under the banner of Darth Revan." Odd--could that figure be the same Revan who had been her onetime Master? "Since I swore fealt to Revan's side, that means I lived. I'm no Force Ghost. I'm also sad to say that I'm the one who gave the order to activate the Mass Shadow Generator at Malachor V, the last battle of the Wars. After this, I could no longer bear the guilt or the nightmares that hounded me, so I returned to the Jedi to face trial.

"The Council declared me an exile, and a Jedi no longer. I had thought it to be only a punishment for following Revan to war, but I later discovered it was because I had severed myself from the Force. I had cut ties so utterly that it caused a wound, an echo, in its fabric. The Jedi blamed me for this, although they knew that what I'd done was unintentional. In the end, I returned to Malachor V to slay Darths Sion and Traya."

She looked at Anakin, her gaze half-quizzical, half-disappointed. "Pregnant wife?" She giggled ruefully. "I sincerely hoped you were unattached, as all of us Jedi have been since the time of the Old Republic. Although," she said with a wry smile, "perhaps your master is remembering things from the future that really haven't happened? Or won't?" The Exile found herself blushing deeply.

"They happened," Anakin replied, wondering for a brief moment how Obi-Wan had discovered his marriage to Padme. "I am married to Senator Padme Amidala..." His eyes lit up as he turned to Obi-Wan. "She's pregnant?" Then, his smile faded and he told Tysyacha, "I've just recently begun to have the nightmares he speaks of..." He turned back to Obi-Wan. "Palpatine is behind the Seperatists?" He frowned. "When you say it, the whole thing suddenly becomes so obvious..."

Then, he shook his head. "But you are right, Obi-Wan. Something else is at work here..." With a wry smirk, he added, "The galaxy does not revolve around me, after all... and bringing two Jedi from the distant past must be explained somehow..."

He shook his head. "And we aren't going to figure this all out by standing here, chatting up a storm. I recommend we go looking for answers to our questions."

Great another jedi! Boba Fett thought to himself.

"Its quite Impressive you're still alive, and looking so young."

Boba Fett eyed up the girl from head to toe.

In fact she's looking pretty fine He thought to himself again.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Boba Fett of the Fett Clan. Now on to the matter at hand. I agree with Skywalker. We're not going to get answers standing here. So I second the vote to finding out what's going on here. Anyone else coming?"

"I'm glad to meet you, Mandalorian Fett," said Tysyacha with a wry "come hither" grin, "and thank you for the compliments. As for being young, I'm approaching forty-two, though with the latest medical technology I only look half-that. Beware the maalras, sir--a kitten is dangerous, and she fights, but the cougars fight harder."

After a brief pause, she continued, "I second that motion to scope out the area and see if anyone else knows what's going on." She, Boba Fett, Anakin, Obi-Wan and--Revan?--turned to leave the concrete courtyard and explore their surreal, strange surroundings. None of the passers-by they encountered seemed to think there was anything amiss, but a sign on a nearby transparisteel glowpost drew her attention:

GALACTIC SENATE MEETING TODAY
1400 HOURS, SENATE ROTUNDA, CORUSCANT
ALL MEMBERS REQUIRED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE

"Hmm," said Tysyacha. "If there's a Galactic Senate gathering, maybe the Senators know or at least have noticed that something is seriously wrong within the Force. I mean, many of them are Jedi, and I'd be surprised if they were as oblivious to this--phenomenon--as these average sentients on the street. I say we sneak into the meeting. Funny thing about Stealth. It had gotten Boba Fett in and out of dangerous situations.

"Miss I am a bounty hunter, stealth is a requirement to survive. I'll need to leave behind some of my gear though, If I am to join you."

I really wish I had the Slave I right now He thought to himself.

Boba Fett did not have his ship, however he did have his father's teachings.
He went behind the nearest building and made a quick hole with his vibroblade. He placed his jetpack, and cape in there. He then covered up the hole. Then he took a couple wookiehairs on his shoulder and placed it on top of the covered hole. He then returned to to the group.

"Skywalker, I was hoping you could watch this," Boba Fett said as he placed his EE-3 carbine rifle between the jedi's feet as to not draw too much attention.

He touched his holster for his father's westar-34 blaster pistol to make sure it was still there.

"Well I'm all set to go, by the way I don't believe I got your name miss..."

"Tysyacha Dvukh," smiled the Exile, the clearness of her voice reverberating through the stifling air. TEE-sya-cha DVUKH, her last name indeed rhyming with "fluke".

"I am indeed glad to see that your covert arts have not gone neglected. Bounty hunters are sentients of which I was once scared, but I see you intend to do me--us--no harm. I shall welcome your company, and that goes for the rest of you as well, as we 'stumble' our way into the Galactic Senate Rotunda. If we get caught, or if any security droids sense us, we'll just say we're lost and we didn't know what building it was. Otherwise, we could be in a lot of trouble, and I don't want to get on the bad side of the authorities here. Not while we have little to go on, and no information."

"Pleasure to be of assistance Tysyacha Dvukh."

Within a few moments of meeting her Boba Fett already had respect. She was a jedi, but she was an excellent warrior from what he had been told, and she knew what she was doing. Her plan was much "cleaner" than his. He was going to sneak in there and take out any guard that noticed they were there.

"Sounds like a plan Tysyacha, I just hope you'll be able to keep up," he said with a grin on his face.
