this is probably the only time but i actually agree with u endsub. This is what a demo is for, to see what u need to change
After pondering over it I decided the buildings are ok. It was my tactics that needed changing not the game :)
Although, I'm still not quite sure how I like Fortresess
once we get cannons (200 attack ;) ) those fortressess will go down.......
i agree w/ Kvan execpt for the fortress part cause i think pummells and artillery can kill them pretty fast..and like end sub said the cannons... :)
The buildings are fine, they probably won't change all that much.
But remember, its a totlally different game in tech level 4
I agree with Tie, everything will be different.
It won't be totally different, but just some different. Lot of upgrades and technologies to research in TL4.
Same here. I still dont think that there strong now but i think itll be bett in tl4. :)
but in lvl 4 the fortress can upgrade 1000 hit points quite a conundrum if u ask me
:yoda:
but in 4 you get the laser cannon :) and heavy artillery...and heavy pummell :) its a pummell w/ two "cutters" and artillery w/ two launchers :)
If you get a good enough amount of them. They are darn slow thou.
I think you will all find that the REAL release of this game will have ironed out these flaws,
And as for un-balances; the cannon will be like the friggin treb, super attack and range, a potential fortress killer (or base killer more like).
I just hope that the addition of air will increase the defence of a base, similar to star craft. (good old wraiths). ;)
btw does n e one else actually like air, cause i do..?
i love air...there are alot of ppl that dont and thats cause they are used to other games where aircraft are alot different..so change your tactics for this game..not 2 hard
Thanx for seeing my point Maul403, to many people are just anti-air (no pun intended) :evanpiel:
I also like air. Though I think they should make the bombers a little tougher and an increase with the attack bonus against building. Think of it...Bombers causing A LOT of damage to other buildings.:D :D :D

But in reality, proton torpedoes would do alot of damage to ANYTHING. The whole Death Star shook when only 2 proton torpedos hit it for goodness sakes.
I think artillery against buildings are balanced but TIE BOMBERS take forever to take out buildings and can't be used against Fortresses.

Thats true but the rebels hit it where they knew it would hurt.
Exactly, you can't expect the game to be copletely true to the movie, or the game would be unbalanced.
Hell, if it was, stormtroopers would never hit and have one hitpoint.
Though i would like to see some sort of stronger bomber though... one that when grouped could actually take on a fortress...
I'd like to see a jedi or sith that could live longer than 20 seconds against a bounty hunter, but that's just not in the cards now, is it? ;)
Hi everyone.
I personally think that most of the balances are fine. There has to be weaknesses and counters with all units, to avoid the overuse of the one unit (or building). I know this has been said before somewhere, but Eets'chula made a very valid comment about the jedi vs. bounty hunters. I see where he is coming from, but there has to be something to counter jedi or else everybody would use only jedi, and the jedi strong races would be overpowered. If your argument is that the counter unit fine, but to strong, you have to keep in mind that the jedi is an immensly powerful unit, and needs something to bring it down to earth (so to speak).
