Lulana shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe it's because... I feel it in you." She turned back to the view, probably embarrased about asking him. She wondered why he refused the Force. But... that was his business.
"Yeah, well..." Bishop looked back at the control Console. "I'd probably save that Jedi hunch for some other Padawan..." he had his reasons for denying his Force Sensitivity. He knew about it, but he continued to hide away from it ever since...
((I give you permission to train Bishop... but not juuuust yet))
"So... what happened?" Bishop asked, just realising Lulana might not know wha he was talking about.
***
Dash stared at the Display Holoprojection in the Main Hold. He was searching for possible destinations of where they could land to gather more crew members.
Thats when he spotted the perfect destination: Aquilaris. It was an Ocean covered world, with only one capital: Floating City.
Unemployed Pirates were likely on that world, betting on the Pod Racers that made a living on.
((Okay. That's fine by me. :) ))
As she continued to stare out into the view, Lulana turned back to Bishop, hearing the question he just asked her. "What happened wha'?" she asked confused. Lulana wondered what he was talking about.
"Your a Jedi Knight, right?" Bishop asked. "Did something happen to the Order? How come you aren't with the Jedi any longer?" he was curious of this girl's past left in mystery.
((Phantom Knight, I was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to have Sakon own a space monster of some sort, to makte it more like pirates of the caribbean, you know, just like an extra thing? But it's your story, so I'll delete it ifyou want me to))
Once ten of his men were gathered outside, Rana nodded. "Alright, mates! Lord Sakon is in that volcan, and a pirate lord only goes into a volcano to find treasure. And . . . "
"If he can find the treasure, so can we!" finished Fredric.
"Exactly. We will 'borrow' speeders, go into the mountain, fight Sakon, and hope to the Force that we don't die."
Lulana had a grimace look on her faced as she looked down. "There was... a Massacre on Ossus. All the Jedi were being killed by the Sith and Empire." She shook her head, slowly, and began her story of her past.
"I was born and raised to a rich family on Naboo. After I learned that someone tried to assassinate my family, I ran away. I was too scared. I watched my house burn. It was awful." She tried to hide the tears. "By the time I was eighteen, I became a Jedi apprentice to this old Jedi Master. Years past, and I left when my master died of illness. I began to look for a job. And I thought to myself, 'Become a pirate.' So that's just what I did."
Lulana turned to Bishop with sadness in her eyes. "And that's how I came here."
((... alright, I'm fine with that. That Leviathan thingy is a good idea! Good thinking, Spitfire :) ))
Sakon explored the fiery path inside the Volcano. He saw that his crew behind him were sweating like pigs, but the heat didn't seem to bother Sakon at all, as he felt nothing but... cold!
He crossed a bridge over a bubling hot pool of Lava, straight to the cave wall. It was engraved with strange symbols that was similar to the ones shown on his DataPad. He rucced the wall with his hand, and the Symbols bright-yellow light. The Light grew bigger, until it grew big enough as an average heighted man. He walked through the Doorway made of Light...
Rana skidded to a stop, and the other speeders stopped behind him. One of the riders lost control and fell over the edge into a pool of boiling lava.
Ranafrowned. "A bridge," he said. He looked ahead. "LIGHT! Golden light! C'mon, boys, we must be gettign close!"
The drove through the dooway of light.
"Wow... that really bites! I know exactly how you feel..." Bishop commented on the part about Lulana's parents, and possiblility they dies in the fire. "I was left an orphan when I was 14, as my family were brutaly murdered by a dark j--- er, urm... Imperials..."
Dash entered the cockpit.
"If you and the girly are done bonding, may I please introduce to you our next destination?"
"Go for it!" Bishop said.
"Punch in the coordinates for Aquilaris!"
"Aquilaris? That hole-of-a-place with the Podracing Track?"
"You're indeed correct, matey. So if you'll please, will you please scuttle on ahead?" he was about to walk out of the room, then stopped. "I said "please" four three times already... whoops, now that is four times!"
"While we're over at Aquilaris, we can look for someone who would be able to change the ship's ID signature... and why do we need more crew members if this model only requires three people?"
"For good and compliated reasons, which fortunatly I hold the answer too...
For one; we could use two more to add to our army to combat against Sakon.
Secondly, we have filled the following positions:
-Jordan as a Pilot, (which by the way, why isn't she here in the cockpit?)
-You as a computer expert and a Co-Pilot.
-We have at least Two Gunners; Lulana and Analla (ever notice those two names rhyme?) however, that is up to them, seeing as they haven't told me what skills they possess.
-Lastly a captain to give command and orders, me!
But we are missing two things; a Medic and a Mechanic!"
Lulana glanced at Dash. "I'm very good in combat. I know I'm a Jedi who carries a lightsaber... but I'm also very good at shooting as well." She smiled. The young pirate wasn't sure about the gunning thing. Knowing that she never killed a man before, she sighed quietly.
"Captian? I... I'm not sure if I can be a gunner... because I never killed a man before. But if it's your orders, I'll do it." Analla grew nervous.
"It's kinda like a Video Game..." Bishop smiled down at the teenager. "But with real guns and explosions... and bad guys actually dying.... and you only get one life--"
"I think we all get the point, m'boy!" Dash patted Bishop's back. "Are there any other skills you possess, m'lady?"
***
Sakon and his men entered a long, wide corridor. The walls around them were blue and tattood with strange symbols and patterns. The blue light seemed to glow off the walls them selves.
Sakon followed the corridor. The tomb was likely filled with many obstacles protecting the very thing he came for!
He reached the end of the passage, and stopped to find he was at the edge of a cliff. He looked across, and saw seperate pillars with platforms in between the next passage.
The obstacle was probably to use the Pillars to get across.
Suddenly, he heard slithering noises... they semed to be comming from all directions...
What ever reason these people hid this tomb under a volcano, obviously had a very godd reason!
Rana blinked. He foundhimself in a blue room, with a passage, and a cliff-like drpoat the end. He found hisnine crewmen behind him, and gasped as he saw Sakonright in front of him, who turned to him.
'It was a trap!' Rana berated himself. Or was it? "Boys, your weapons!" he screamed as he ignited his lightsaber.
* * *
Admiral Dreanear Rasana sat at his desk, looking out his window at the space. He was in hsi flagship, The Endeavear. He saw a man walk into the room.
"You summoned me, Admiral?" the man said.
Dreanear nodded. "Take a seat, Captain," he ordered softly.
The Captain nodded and did as asked.
Dreanear continued. "It has come to my attention that something called 'The Bretheren Court' has been waring with the company in the outer rim.The Pirates are now on the verge of complete controll in that area," he said simply. "By Order of Emperor Roan Fel, I have been ordered to take the armada out and kill these squabbling bucaneeers. And you will help me."
Analla scratched her head, and looked down. "Well... not really. I just... clean things. But now that I'm growing up... I have to learn how to defend myself. There maybe times when people might try and hurt me. Like Rav and his crew did." She glanced at Dash. "I'll be honored to be a Gunner." The young teenager grinned.
"If its gunner you want, than gunner you shall be luv!" Dash patted Analla's shoulder. "Now, if you'll excuse me! I gotta get something to eat!"
***
Sakon turned around to see Captain Rana and his boys pointing their weapons at him.
"I'll deal with them myself, men!" Sakon said to his team. He used a devastating Force Wave against Rana and his crew which knocked them on their back. He walked to them, and decided not to kill them.
"You do not know who or what you are dealing with, Rana!" Sakon said coldly. "You do not know what this place is, do you? And more likely, what it contains!" There was another sound of slithering.
"Do you here that sound? It is the movement of things you only see in your nightmares! It is the sound of the guardians protecting this place! And I will soon have the power to tame them, once I get what I want from this tomb!"
Rana laughed, spitting out blood as he did so. He realized that he had his his head on a rock as he fell. HE rubbed the deep gash on his temple.
"Sakon . . . I would've ex[ected better from you. You're already immortal. Why do you want more to show off?" Rana gasped as Sakon stepped on his throat.
He glared at the Weequay. "Your monster's not goign to protect you here on land. You are a fool. The East Corellia Trading Company will have your ship soon enough, and they will control the Seven Sectors! Oh, and could you move yoru foot, please?" Sakon growled and lifted hsi foot a little bit. Rana continued, "Soon, the entire crew of the Black Crystal wil be in this cave, and you won't be able to do anythign about it."
Suddenly, there was the sound ofseveral speeders coming to a stop before them.
"Now boys!" roared Rana as he rolled off Sakon's foot and got himself up, igniting his lightsaber.
Analla smiled. She was glad that she could do something great for the Captain. But... she was still nervous about killing someone. Lulana placed a gentle hand on the young teenager's shoulder. She could sense the nervousness in Analla.
"Hey. Cheer up. It's gonna be all right. When I was your age, I was scared to shoot someone as well. But by the time I turned seventeen, I got use to it. So... you'll do just fine." Lulana gave Analla a warm nudge on her arm. Analla smiled. "Thanks."
"You underestimate the power of this tomb, Rana! You underestimate it greatly!" Sakon pulled out his Lightsaber and ignited it.
Suddenly, he heard the slithering come even closer... And closer!
He looked behind him, and saw just in time; three, slimy objects feel from above the pillars and landed on the cliff the intruders were standing on.
They were very large, like the size of a small boulder and egg shaped. A greenish-yellow slimed oozed around it. After a few second of gawking at the Strange Eggs, they started to move...
All three of the eggs hatched, and splattered entrails on almost everyone. What came out of the eggs were even worse.
Three large insects came launched out of the eggs. They were about Eight-feet tall, and stood up on two feet like a man. Leather-like purple skin surrounded the beasts exosceleton, and had long spikes running down their backs. They had at least two arms on each side of their body, with deadly razor sharp claws. The heads were even more frightening; they each had a round skull, with four mandibles acting as their mouths, and had Two eyes on either side of their face.
The insects were obviously not pleased to see they had visitors...
***
"Ah! I remember when I first killed a man... it was rather sickening to look at first..."
An hour passed, and they finally arrived to their destination. The Dark Angel exited the vortex of Hyperspace, and met in sight of the blue planet; Aquilaris. It was had to tell if their was any signs of land from where they were sitting, as the planet's terrain was covered in ocean.
They entered the Atmoshpere. White puffs of clouds passed by them, and dozens of ships meaning to leave the planet.
Floating City, the capital of Aquilaris, was in sight. Bishop flew straight towards the city.
Lulana looked at the city, and whistled. "Impressive." She herself never been to Aquilaris, but she heard about it. Analla got close to the view, and grew amazed. A Floating City on water. Now that's gotta be the coolest thing you've ever seen. "Wow. This place looks... cool." The young pirate grinned, staring at the city. "Come see this, Jordan! It's really awesome!"
Jordan entered the cockpit with splotches of grease on her face and hands, and her hair a mess. "Yeah, nice," she said in response to Analla. To Bishop, she asked, "Where's the Captain?" But without waiting for him to answer, she cocked her head to one side. "No, never mind. I know where he is."
And with that, she turned and left the cockpit, going to find Dash. When she reached the kitchen, she saw Dash seated at the small table there, a bowl of food before him. She sat down across from him.
"For a short time, I can act as both mechanic and pilot," she told him. "But don't expect that to be a permanent solution. I'm a pilot first and foremost. This," she gestured to her grease-splotched face, "will not be a common sight. Better hope you can find a genuine mechanic soon enough..."
((I'll play a mechanic too, actually, and you can hire her/him (probably her) planetside... once we land, I'll set it up :) ... seems the mode of this RP to have at least two characters, so I'd best play along :p ))
((The limit is Three Characters, but... meh!))
Dash stood up, and emptied the scraps of his meal into the Trash Compactor.
"I suppose in a matter of speaking, it is up to you on how you shall contribute your time as a crew member. For instance; you may choose to be a Pilot and a Mechanic at the same time, however there is the slight possiblity of being granted work stress. Savvy?"
He was about to leave the room when suddenly he slipped on the floor. He fell on his backside hard.
"Now what the bloody 'ell was that?" he looked down at his boot and saw a piece of some sort of slimy vegetable Dash never knew the name of. It was likely from his meal.
"I'm okay!" he stood up. "I'm alright! This... thing here is being a real devil!" unknowingly he dropped the vegetable back on the floor.
"Now if you'll excuse me..." he was about to leave the room, then once again he slipped on the wretched thing. He tried to keep a cool face, but struggled. He picked the thing up.
"That is it!" he said the slimy thing. "You have gone way too far with this practical joke, and now for your punishment!"
He slapped in back onto the floor, and pulled out his blaster. He fired four shots at a rapid speed. When the smoke cleared, there was nothing left but a black and crispy dead vegetable lying on the floor.
He turned around to see his first mate frowning at him from the doorway.
"Is alright! It has been taken care of, mate!"
Bishop thought Dash was, without doubt, the strangest Captain he had ever flew with. But he was used to it.
"Don't mind, the captain!" he glanced at Jordan. "He has always been this strange. So it is completely normal... so to speak..."
As the Dark Angel landed on the platform of Floating City, Lulana turned to Analla, and smiled warmly. "So... how did you become a pirate, young one?" Analla was a little shocked when she heard Lulana's question. She looked out into the view, sadness in her eyes. "Well... I was a ten year old orphan, living on Tatooine. I had no family or friends. That's when Rav, Captain of the Bloody Bones, took me in as his crew mate."
Analla looked down and sniffed, wiping the tears away. "I tried so hard to be fearsome as they were, but they just call me failure. A nobody. So... I cleaned up his ship, because Rav didn't accept me as a good crew member. That's when Dash came to the rescue. Jordan and I became his crew members then. And now... here I am."
The young pirate glanced back at the window. Lulana could feel the hurt inside this young innocent pirate. She placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Hey. Cheer up. You are somebody. A young teenage pirate who look towards adventure. And I believe in you. We all believe in you." Analla turned to Lulana and smiled. "Thanks, Lulana." The Jedi woman smiled back. "Any time... adventurer."
Jordan smirked. "I've known stranger men," she commented. "So we've landed. Shall we head out and see what we can find as to more crew? I could stand for a drink too, I think..."
"Yup... I suppose..." Bishop exited the kitchen...
The ramp of the Dark Angel opened, and the crew found themselves in a huge, garage like docking chamber (similar to the one on Manaan on KoTOR :) ).
Dash walked drunkingly to the large door, and made a short conference with the crew.
"I've wondered through me brain, and have come to a decision: we shall split up to perform our devious erands! Kane m'boy, I am of course appointing you responsible, under pain or death, that you will seek to change my boat's ID signature. Savvy?"
"Savvy!" Bishop responded.
"Excellent! Meanwhile, I shall be appointed, under safe conditions, to finding our last remaining crew members... anybody whom either wishes to go with Bishop or I, please make your choice, rrrright now!"
Dash walked out of the Dock.
***
Though he was immortal, Sakon couldn't keep this up forever! The Insects were proving to be quite a nuisance and taking up precious time to handel.
But they did however prove to be a distraction for Rana and his crew of low-moral fiber men! Sakon hacked his way to the edge of the cliff, and jumped on one of the standing pillars.
He looked up into the ceiling... and waht he saw was a horrible sight. Thousands, and thousands of eggs were stuck up the roof, waiting to be hatched. He had to hurry before the entire nest was hatched.
An egg suddenly fell atop of a pillar far away from Sakons. It hacthed and a giant insect had risen from the remains. He made a war cry, as it jumped on the pillars, straight towards Sakon, claws armed and ready!
Lulana stepped forth. "I'll go with Kane. Seeing that he might need some help." She walked beside Bishop, and smiled. Analla scratched her head. Both men were nice, but she had to make a choice quick. "I can go with the Captain to find some more crew members."
The young girl walked by Dash, looking back at the others. She waved, as she walked out the Dock with Dash.
"'kay!" Bishop stared at Lulana. "Have you ever been to Aquilaris before? If so, I'm open to any sugestions on where we should start looking for someone who can change that I.D Signature of ours!"
***
Dash glanced at both Analla and Jordan ((I assume she is coming with Dash. If she goes with Bishop, I'll delet this part. Savvy?)) as he walked straight out of the dock.
"You know, it is probably certain you have never notice, but you two are on your way to becoming good Pirates!"
He recalled through his memory banks. "You have attempted an act of Mutiny against a mangy captain (very common amongst Pirates). You are helping us gather a bucaneer crew for our voyages together. And with the kind thanks of your help, we have managed to commandeer a vessel... correction; "stolen" a vessel!"
Lulana grinned sheepishly. "Well... I never been here... but I say we should start in the city first." She rubbed her neck, smiling nervously. "If that's okay with you."
-----------------------------------------------------
Analla smiled at the comments Dash made. She turned to him and replied, "I'm glad we could have a captain like you. You're the best one I've ever met!" Analla let out a big smile. "I already loving this kind of adventure!"
Jordan smiled faintly. "Indeed, we have been something of a help, haven't we?" Then, a flash of movement caught her eye and her smile vanished. "And I think I may be of further use here in just a moment... follow me."
She hurried forward, ducking into a cantina nearby and by the time Dash and Analla entered the same bar, Jordan was nowhere in sight. But immediately behind them, another young woman entered in a hurry. This one had dirty blonde hair tied back in a tight ponytail and bright, inquisitive blue eyes. Her face was smudged with grease and so were her dark pants and black leather jacket. She pushed herself between and beyond Dash and Analla as if she hadn't seen them or, if she had, she just didn't care.
From the far side of the bar, Jordan's head popped up for just a second before she ducked back out of sight. From that distance, neither Dash nor Analla could tell it was her. But the strange young woman who'd just entered had paused just ahead of Dash and Analla, her head cocked to one side as if listening.
"I know you're in here, Jor," she murmured, barely loud enough for Dash and Analla to hear. A slow smile spread across her face and then she darted forward, slipping effortlessly through the crowded cantina, headed straight for the bar. Again, Jordan's head emerged, but this time, she saw the other girl coming and leapt over the counter. Patrons scattered to clear the path between the two women, who stopped within inches of one another.
"Hello, Caitlin," Jordan said, a slight edge to her words. The blonde smirked up at Jordan. Now that they were standing face to face, it was clear that the blonde was half a foot shorter, at least.
"Jordan," she acknowledged. "Been a while."
"Suppose so," Jordan agreed, her voice going downright icy. "What do you want?"
"I want to know what slime like you happens to be doing in a cantina with such classy patrons," Caitlin hissed. "Pirate."
"Pirate?" Jordan echoed, seeming offended. Then, she glared. "Engine scum."
"Thief," Caitlin shot back.
"Grease monkey," Jordan returned.
"Greedy pig!"
"Trash heap!"
The women glared at each other for several intense moments, but then Caitlin burst into laughter and Jordan soon followed. A few patrons grumbled a little upon realizing that a fight was not about to break out and returned to their drinks as Caitlin and Jordan embraced and headed for a table together. Jordan waved Dash and Analla over to join them.
"Cait, this is Dash Hawkbat and Analla Danble," she introduced. "Dash and Analla, this is one very special girl, my little sister, Caitlin Vale."
"Half-sister," Caitlin corrected. "Different mothers. We used to see a lot more of each other... until Jordan turned pirate."
"Until you went legit!" Jordan argued. "We were free as birds, having loads of fun together, skipping school and getting into all sorts of trouble..."
"She always got us into trouble," Caitlin corrected. "I got us out."
"... but then she got a job, an honest to gods J-O-B," Jordan complained. "Working on some Republic warship or whatnot."
"It was a cargo freighter," Caitlin interrupted. "Not a warship."
"She's got a gift too," Jordan went on. Caitlin frowned sharply.
"I'm a gifted mechanic," she said, taking a more severe tone of voice. Jordan rolled her eyes and the half-sisters had a whispered conversation which could not be overheard. Then, they turned back to Dash and Analla, who had not even been able to speak since entering the cantina!
"Yeah, she's a great mechanic," Jordan agreed. "Everything I know, I learned from her... and she knows far more than she ever taught me. Cap'n Dash, we have our engineer."
Caitlin blushed. "I find it interesting that the pilot's telling the captain that," she said. "In the end, it's your decision, isn't it Captain?"
"But you'll hire her," Jordan insisted. "Cus we need someone and she's the best you'll ever find."
Dash walked to Jordan's sister, Caitlin.
"A fine pleasure to meet a long lost relative of this fine young lady here!" he greeted. "But there is a question to ensure confirmation you want to be on my crew of space-worthy pirates!"
Dash edged closer to Caitlin, like an Army Officer giving commands to his Troops.
"Miss Caitlin Vale! Do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost sudden death??? Miss Vale! Answer me!"
***
"The City? Good, 'cause I could use a good, stiff hard drink! Don't you?" He was about to walk out of the dock, then suddenly stops. "<sigh>, but lets get this I.D Signature thing-a-ma-bob over and done with! Man, how I hate erands!"
Analla started to giggle at Dash. The way he said and did things made her laugh. But she tried her best not to laugh too hard, or she might "die of laughter". Caitlin looked like a nice person, and sure enough, Analla didn't know that Jordan even had a sister!
----------------------------------------------
Lulana patted Bishop's arm to comfort him. "Oh... it's okay, Bishop. At least we're working together... right?" She gave him a warm smile.
"Oh, brother," Caitlin muttered. With a wry grin, she faced Dash, straightening into a military salute. "Captain Hawkbat, sir! Permission to speak freely sir?" But without waiting for his answer, she went on. "Captain, sir, I've heard the line before and you've misspoken. It's 'certain death', not sudden."
She shrugged and relaxed. "As to joining a crew of space-worthy pirates..." She grinned at Jordan, "... if you've got her at the helm, there's not a power in the galaxy that'll keep me from being your mechanic. Not even you, Cap'n."
"Captain, sir, I've heard the line before and you've misspoken. It's 'certain death', not sudden."
"Aye, so it is!" Dash paced away from her. When he heard her speak the last sentence, Dash then with a sudden stop, turned around and walked back to Caitlin.
"I'm not sure I like whats-her-face's attitude... You're hired!" Dash paced around the crew.
"Now we are short one off; a medic!"
((I apoligise for sounding a bit... sexist, but if someone is going to take the part of a medic, could the character please be a guy? It's just to ballance the gender scale for the crew... so to speak... once again, I apoligise!))
***
Bishop smiled warmly back to Lulana. "Yeah, I suppose!"
He wrapped his arm around the girls waste, and walked her out of the docks.
"Alright! I had someone in mind on who could help us. I often here some speciesist people describe as a filthy, unwashed thing whom has signs of stupidity and is a spit among of society and all around it. In other words; the guy I know is a Rodian."
((That's okay, PK! :) ))
Lulana kind of got shy when Bishop wrapped his arm around her waist. She smiled, and placed her hand on his chest, making them look like they were going somewhere together. After Bishop told her about the Rodian, she asked, "He's a friend of yours?"
"More of an aquaintance. The guy's name is Yulpor, and I have met him before. He said he was stationed here on Aquilaris. He's a horrible mechanic whom owns his own garage, but he has the ability to change Transponder Codes. I imply we start with him!"
The two began to search for a Rodian Mechanic in the Eastern Courtyard of Floating City. Finding a Rodian Mechanic seemed like a hard thing to do. Half an hour later, Dash found himself asking the locals. He came up to what look to be a thug. He seemed like a real brute of a man.
"Urm... excuse me? I-I..." Bishop stuttered at the sight of the huge brute. "I'm looking for a Rodian called Yulpor?"
"Yulpor?" the Brute said in anger. "Yulpor? That pip-sqeak, so-called mechanic? No!" he took a breath. "I don't know where he is! But if you do find him, I have a message for him!" the Brute punched Bishop in the stomach. The blow was powerful enough to knock Bishop down. "Tell him "that was for me Speeder!"
Bishop brought himself up, to see that the brute had walked off.
"Well, I know not to ask him again!" he rubbed his bruised belly. "Was that all you've got, you bald sissy?" he whispered under his breath.
Lulana gasped, and helped Bishop up. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay? That... that big bully! I should've used my lightsaber on him! But that's not the Jedi way." Her purple eyes looked into Bishop's. "You sure you're gonna be okay?" Lulana was getting worried about Bishop, after that incident.
"Aw, I'm allright!" Bishop gave her a warm smile, while chuckling. "I'll give Yulpor his message! And besides, I suffered through much worse."
"Excuse me?" a woman said behind the two. "Did I happen to hear you say you were looking for Yulpor?"
"Maybe... why do you ask?" Bishop was afraid he might recieve another punch again.
"I had just recently saw him! I found him looking though the Junk Yard of Floating City."
A disgusted look spread on Bishop's face. "... in a Junk Yard? Sounds like Yulpor! What was he doing in there?"
"He said something about a missing droid, but that was it! I urged him to get out of the Junk Yard but he wouldn't listen. If the Compactor Unit gets to him, then he'll be--"
"Whats a Compactor Unit?" Bishop asked.
"You know, a droid that searches through Junk Heap for recycliing materials. They are highly dangerous once you get close by one."
***
Sakon atlast made it to the end of the Pillars. He entered a long corridor ahead, and finally reached the end. He found himself in a chamber of some sort. The glowing, blue floor had engraved symbols all around it. In the center of the room was a pedastool of some sort. And atop of that Pedastool was what Sakon was after.
"The Piece!" he smiled. The Piece was an artifact made of a gold-like metal. The edges made it look like it had been chipped off something, therefor granting its name; The Piece. It was one of the Three Pieces which made into "The Key", which had the power to bring the holder the ability to control an army powerful enough to crush the Empire itself, and not to mention enslave the Pirates to do his bidding.
However, he was only one Third of the way to complete "The Key". Sakon only had to travel to Aquilaris, and Yavin IV...
Lulana glanced at Bishop. "Well... we better go help him outta there, or he's toasted." She looked around. The Junk Yard had to be somewhere. "Maybe we should go... that way." She could see from the Floating City, an island with full of junk on it. "My lucky guess is there."
--------------------------------------------------
Analla looked around the bar. "There's gotta be someone in here who knows or is a medic." She shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe we should start looking for one."
((Okay, until someone (particularly who is new) is willing to fill the postition of the medic guy, I will just make an NPC. Under the condition nobody acknowledges him, unless your character has sustained an injury. To put this simply, the Medic can temporarily be a prop xp))
"In which case, I imply we start look for me' next victim to aboard the list of crew members, in a local Medical Facility... which I belive we shall find in..."
Dash rotated his finger, as if it was a needle of a compass. He decided on which way they should follow. He at last remembered a local facility somewhere in Floating City, so he pointed his finger in the direction it was in.
"That way, direction..." He walked his strange, usual walk out of the cantina.
***
"You are quite correct, that is the Junk Yard of Aquilaris." the Lady pointed out. "Come! I shall lead you to the transportation to the Island."
"Oh man!" Bishop grunted in disgust. "Why do I get the feeling its gonna smell like poop?"
Lulana hit Bishop on his arm. "Oh, Kane!" she said, smiling. "C'mon! Think of it as an... adventure! You know." Lulana walked with Bishop, and placed her head on his shoulder. "You're funny... ya know that?"
Bishop rubbed the girl's shoulder. "Thanks! But whats even funnier is that I don't even try."
The two followed the lady to a some sort of small dock. There was only one platform, where only one ship lay. The Ship was facing its rear end to a collection of Trach Compactors and Garbage Disposal Bins.
A very rusty looking Droid approached them.
"State your purpose here!" it demanded.
"There is a Rodian trapped on the Garbage Island!" the lady said. "We are here to inform you of the situation, so we can take matters on rescuing him!"
"I apoligise, Madam! But my programming states to me that I forbid you from reaching that island."
"Woah! We never said anything about going on that... nausiating spit of an Island! If you could call it an Island, that is."
Lulana walked up to the droid. "Please... we need to rescue him, because... he's a close friend of my dad! He and my dad been best buds ever since they met! If we don't get him out soon..." Tears began to come out of her eyes. "My dad will be... lonely, because that was the only friend he had!!" Lulana cried. This was the best trick in the book, by fooling the other person by fake crying.
------------------------------------------------------
Analla followed Dash out of the cantina. She wondered if they were gonna find the best medic there was here on this Floating City. But it was all right. She had to stay patient and be happy about being away from Rav and his crew.
Bishop stared at Lulana. That crying was pretty convincing, even the droid fell for it.
"Though I am programmed to restrict personel from entering the Garbage Island, it is also under my system to allow personel to enter the region in emergency situations. As a protocol droid, it is my solemn duty to notify the Authorities of this situation."
"But by the time they get here, Yulpor could be dead!" the lady urged.
"A true fact presented with high probability!" said the droid. "In which case, I will have to send a team to rescue and ensure the survival of the trapped individual. There go grant you access; under the condition that you are well armed!"
"I sure am!" Bishop presented his Rifle to the Droid. "Check out this bad little puppy!"
The droid looked at Lulana expectingly, wondering if she too carried a weapon.
***
Dash hoped that Bishop was at least making progress with changing the I.D Signature of the ship.
He lead his group to a small, medical facility which was atop of a platform of a tree-like pillar. They walked up the stairs and entered the lodge.
Against the far wall were five Kolto Tanks, containing patients whom had sustained injuries. In a corner was a Medical Lab station used for creating Medicine.
They were greeted by a Medical, as they stepped inside.
"Welcome to the Local Eastern Floating City Medical Facility. How may we be of service?"
Sure enough, Lulana did carry a weapon. She took out her lightsaber, pointing the blade towards the droid. "If you don't do something quick... I'm gonna go crazy and slash your circuits to bits! And if my father gets lonely without any friends... I'll kill every last one of these people!! Got that?" She glared at the droid, waiting for an answer.
-------------------------------------------
Analla bowed to the Medical in respect. "Hello. I'm Analla Danble. This here is Captain Dash Hawkbat, Jordan Lake, and Caitlin Vale. We're here to search for the best medic you have here. If there is any." She smiled.
"Careful, kiddo!" Bishop whispered. "You don't want somebody to notify the Authorities, do you?"
From the look of it, the droid became rather nervous at the sight of Lulana's Lightsaber, and what she had said about threatening to kill people.
"Oh my! Please d-don't terminate me!" the droid stuttered. "I-I shall let you on board this transportation, as I have already told you!"
"M'kay! Lets go!" Bishop entered the ship and to the Passenger Seats. There was a horrid smell about the ship, but it wasn't a suprise as it was a Garbage Transport.
***
"Oh, my!" said the Medical droid. "In that case, you will have to speak with my master!"
"Welcome!" A uniformed old man greeted as he approached the group. "So you're in need of a Medic on board your ship?"
"You are quite correct! Do you, sir, possess any unwanted staff members whom be willing enough to sacrifice his/her life for the glory of our voyages till the end?"
The Manager looked at Dash rather strangely.
"Urm..." the doctor was interupted.
"Is their someone among you whom you find his/her presence in your own home rather aggrivating and/or aggitating?"
"Home? This isn't my home!" the Manager shot angrily at Dash. "My home is much nicer than this place!"
Dash examined the room with a keen eye. He looked back at the Manager, a mischiefous grin spread across hhis face. "So it is! My most sincere apoligies!"
"Right!" the Manager looked suspiciously at the group. "And may I ask what exactly do you people do for a living?"
"Funny you should ask that, matey!" Dash walked strangely to the Manager, placed a hand on tha man's shoulder. "What would you say, but to clarify with all honesty and truthfullness that we are not what I am about to imply, if I told you we were Pirates?"
"I would notify the authorities imediatly so they could deal with you scum Pirates!"
"But of course you would! A wise decision you would make there, indeed! But just to clarify, that was a joke! In truth, we are not mangy Pirates. Me and me' crew members absolutly despise the whole lot of them and reckon they should be eradicated off the face of the galaxy!"
"Then what are you?" the manager asked curously.
Dash pondered this for a few seconds. Atlast, he came up with a convincing answer.
"If you must ask, as you have recently and obviously stumbled over your great curiosity, we... go into a business of Freelance Cargo Transportation."
Lulana suddenly smiled at the droid, and deactivated her lightsaber. "Thank you, my good droid! I feel better already!" She got on the ship, and quickly placed her hands over her nose and mouth. "Ugh! Gross! This is so wrong!" Lulana said, going by Bishop's side.
------------------------------------------------------
Analla rolled her eyes and shook her head, smiling. "Yeah. That's right! We need someone who can help on any damages, if one of us get injured. Ya know, one of those blasted cargo can be pretty heavy sometimes."
"In which case..." the Manager said. "I will have to see some form of Identification to confirm you are what you are telling me!"
Dash missed a heart beat when he heard this sentence. He had to think fast!
"I...uhh... I must have left it in my other pants!" he responded simply.
"Well thats no good, is it? You should have thought about that before changing those pants of yours!"
"But I like these pants!" Dash whined.
"You're entiled to your own opinion, sir!"
Dash suddenly remembered he did have something incase of these situations. It was such a long time ago, he had forgotten.
"Speaking of which, matey, I just so happen to have proof of a form of Identification, which has not been forged what-so-ever and purely manufactured for me'self."
He reached for his wallet, and pulled out a Blue transparent, computerised business card. He had it made almost a decade ago, and it was a fake. But by looking at it, it passed as a real Business Card. It even had detailed descriptions of the Freelancing Cargo Transportation, and confirmed of the companies existence with a forged signature from the CEO of the East Corellian Trading Company.
The manager studied it carefully. He looked conviced enough.
"Alright! I suppose I could lend you a doctor on your voyages, Captain Hawkbat. I just just so happens I have one here whom would be willing enough to join you."
He called out the name of the chosen Doctor, and a uniformed man walked out of a doorway into another Medicine Lab.
"M'boy, you have always bragged in front of me about not seeing the galaxy. Well, now is your chance! This here is Captain Hawkbat, and his crew."
The man looked at them. "Are they Pirates? They sure look like them!"
"No, they are innocent, proud individuals whom are working for the Freelance Cargo Transportation. Approved by the East-Corellian Trading Company. You interested?"
"I sure am! Let me pack my things, and I will be ready to get off this rock!"
Analla looked at the man. "He looks like a nice person." She reached out her hand for a handshake. "Hi. My name's Analla Danble. It's good to have you onboard with us." She smiled.
-------------------------------------
Lulana looked around the water. She felt like throwing up, because she was not use to being this close to garbages. "Are... we... there yet?" she asked, her face looking pale.
The droid responded through the Ship's loud speaker.
"Almost there, ma'am. Approximatly 1.5 km until reach of destination."
Bishop looked at Lulana, and noticed her face going pale from sickness. He couldn't blame her, as Bishop too was going a bit green.
"If it's worth any comfort at all, it will probably smell a lot worse when we are on the Island itself." he chuckled.
***
The Doctor shook the girl's hand. "Pleased to meet you! And the rest of your crew, Mr. Hawkbat."
Dash walked strangely over to the doctor. Put a hand on his shoulder and said;
"Captain! Captain Dash Hawkbat! Savvy?"
Lulana held on to Bishop's arm, and tighten her grip on him. "Oooh. I know, Bishop. And as a Jedi..." She stood like a victorious woman. "I shall overcome anything that stands in my way!"
She stood there for a moment, until... "Blaaah!" She did it in a clean bag. "Oh man! Okay! Well... ahem! That wasn't fun."
-----------------------------------------------------
Analla nodded at Dash's comment. "Oh yeah. You gotta call him Captain Hawkbat. It's more respectable to him." She looked at Dash, and grinned, telling him that she made sure she told the Doctor to call him 'Captain'.
Bishop pattes Lulana's back as she vomited. Then he stared at the bag.
"You gonna eat that?" he wondered. Then he laughed "I'm Just kidding!"
***
They walked the doctor out of the Medical Facility, away from the ears of the Manager.
"There is no denying that titles give certain individuels a sense of confidence and respect. Which is why for now on I am refering to you as "Doc". Fine with you?"
The Doctor stared at him.
"I'm more of a Medic. And I am no Doctor. There is a difference you see."
"So the illusion may seem! In which case, lets check the progress of whats-his-face and see if he got that I.D thinga-ma-bob over and done with."
Lulana wiped her mouth with a clean towel and looked at Bishop. She smiled. "I know, I know. But we need to get there quick before Yulpor gets fried!" Lulana saw that they were close to the island. "Good! We're almost there. I can't wait until this is over."
She wiped the sweat away from her head, and laughed.
