alright. I've been playing about 15 games. almost all against "newbies" and I've lost em all. why? why? I'm first to get to tch level 2, and then eventually 3. I send 6 mechs, 3 jedis, 4 bounty hunters, 7 ties 3 bombers, 2 artilery and 2 pummel to the other guys base. Wow...he has about 6 sheild generators, 2 fortresses, 10 AA turrets, about 100000 droids, building turrets while I'm fighting him, an army of about 60 bounty hunters, and like 40 mechs, and 20 Ywings. I loose about half my guys withing the first 3 secs. I try to blow up the turrets, but either they are in a sheild, or take YEARS to blow up, 'cause the DAMN droids are repairing them as i use my pummels on them!. I retreat with 2 mechs and 1 jedi. All my farms are exausted, my carbon is depleted, my ore crystals are gone. He comes in with his army, and kills my turrets in less than a mintue, and my walls are all but tiny little lumps on the ground. Help. I TRY to make as many droids as possible! I really try! I use 8 nerfs in a shelter, with a power core, i send like 8 droids for carbon, and ore. But i still lose. WHY?! is there something i'm missing here!? sigh...I wish i knew what victory tasted like..i really do. :( BTW, I always use imperials...should i use rebels?
Hmm... sounds like you need more resources.
Here's what I do:
First of all, make the game with high or medium resources. Then when you first get to the game, click on your command center and immediately line up some droids. Use one of your workers that you start with to build a few houses, another to gather carbon, and another to get food, etc. Once your workers start pumping out of your command center, start by having at least 5 workers getting carbon. Then you get some workers building farms all around your command center.
Always do the upgrades on the ore/carbon/nova processing centers, they are invaluable, not to mention using the motivator upgrades on your command center.
Build a bigger army. 3 Sith don't cut it, man. You gotta start off getting TONS of workers, so then you can build at whatever pace you set.
Use power cores. They make building an army faster and more effective.
There's some tips, I hope they help!
Yes you gotta have tons of workers and a much bigger army, including AA units.
Try making 30 villagers before you go to 2nd age. If you manage your villagers well this can be done with no pauses. When you get to 2nd get the mobility upgrade. Then build your 2 2nd age structures. You should have just about enough resources to go to the 3rd age. Go to third age. During the 3rd age upgrade get the carbon,ore,nova,farm upgrades. My best time getting to 3rd age this way so far is 19 mins. Now build another TC and start making villagers constantly. Get all of the production upgrades. You should peak at over 50 villagers. Make sure you never have any idle villagers.
This will get you a hell of an economy. Of course you may need to modify this to beat off early attacks or do a little early attacking yourself.
Emo
what the hell is he talking about? ^^^ thx for the advice guys! i just won my first game! me and RDOG22 teamed up against some guy! and then he said: screw you, you waste my time. And he left! we win!! yeaahaha!....ohh, I'm pathetic.:(...I find rebel mechs really cool!
I usually end up deleting a lot of my workers to make room for an army.
Yeah, If you're rich up your butt and you need some more units for your army, just do this to your workers:
:atat:======:r2d2:
1) Its probably you lol :p No just make droids with a 75 pop limit make about 40 of em in the beginnning than as you collect resources slowly change them into an army
2)Make sure you have a good idea of what your enemies base looks like. And make sure you know th weaknesses, go for those areas when attacking.:)
