...In the army!
A couple of little mods that I did more for myself originally, but now that I'm more or less done I thought I might release them in case someone else might be interested. The first is a mod that allows Carth to wear real Republic armour. The second replaces the Sith officers with Imperial officers.
Some screenies for Carth's armour...

There are some minor issues though. I had tried to make a new head for Carth with the helmet, but it seems that changing the texture pointer in the model wrecks the animations. Not sure why. Most a pity. So his head replaces the regular soldier head. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to exclusively restrict it to Carth, so there are a bunch of restrictions on them that make it as close as possible. A bit of a hack...

It is so nice to see the Imperial Officers skin and from the king of MECK of all people.
Thanks guys. I may include an update Saul Karath as well...
And don't forget the ceremonial uniform that Uthar and Yuthura wear in Naga's tomb on Korriban!
Btw. looking good!

More than up to your usual level of very-very-high-quality, Prime ;)
Those Imperial uniforms look really nice. Only thing is, being female myself, all I can think of is OUCH for the women's pants. Think you could loosen them up a tad? It'd be a deal breaker for me on whether I'd want to use the mod or not.
it would be better if Uthar and Yuthura wore dark jedi robes
woot nice i'll be using them but im just curious is it gonna be a combined mod? or can you make them both seperate mods but still be compatible, i would def use those Sith Troops mods also i think the females officers are suffering from camel toe syndrome
Good stuff Prime. It's good to see you active in KOTOR modding! :D
I like the sith reskins. I've always wondered why all the sith women have those big thighs though... :)
Cool textures Prime, you even put the military ranks.
I like the sith reskins. I've always wondered why all the sith women have those big thighs though... :)
Because it's what you get when you turn to dark side
Unwanted side effects may include:
-bad mood
-killing habits
-increase butt size & other ...
Wow, Really love the Imperial Uniforms outstanding work Prime! :thmbup1:
Can the PC also equip these Imperial Uniforms for the DS users??
Because i woud love to go to the DS with these Imperial Uniforms :D
And don't forget the ceremonial uniform that Uthar and Yuthura wear in Naga's tomb on Korriban!Right now they just use the default uniforms. Yuthura's the black one. In my game I have them modded so that they wear robes. If you want her to wear her custom uniform, you don't have to use the replacement texture, so that is pretty easy.

It'd be a deal breaker for me on whether I'd want to use the mod or not.Unfortunately these are only replacement textures and the model is unchanged (I'm not a modeler). Sorry it isn't appealing for you.
it would be better if Uthar and Yuthura wore dark jedi robesAgreed. :)
im just curious is it gonna be a combined mod?No. The Carth armour is a different mod from the Imperial uniforms, and they will be released seperately, and they are compatible.
Can the PC also equip these Imperial Uniforms for the DS users??I decided against having them as PC uniforms. That would require I modify appearance.2da, which also needs to be modified for the Carth mod. Since so many mods change that file, I try and avoid it whenever I can. It would be easy to set that up using this mod, so if people are interested we can go over that after it is released.
Right now they just use the default uniforms. Yuthura's the black one. In my game I have them modded so that they wear robes. That's exactly what I do. Well, one of the two wears robes.

I also have the whole Sith Academy students wear robes and mixed up all the species so there isn't so many humans.
Cool. I've been meaning to do the students as well but so far haven't gotten around to it. When you say mixed up the species, do you mean by making seperate appearance.2da entries different? Or did you randomize it with a script or something?
Here is a screeny of Imperial Admiral Karath...

How about changing the color to match the Imperial Navy? White jacket and black pants??

Here are some of my changes.

This guy was my inspiration. He was originally a human and when he referred to my character as a human, I thought wouldn't someone who wasn't a human call me that? So then I started with him as my first species change.

Here the meditating students are both Twi'leks. There are some green headed Twi'leks running around that you don't see in my pics.
BTW, Saul Karath looks awesome! :D
How about changing the color to match the Imperial Navy? White jacket and black pants??I believe that the white uniform is worn by grand admirals, such as Thrawn, and regular admirals wear grey uniforms...
I went by this. (
http://www.theforce.net/SWTC/insignia/uniforms.html#navy) Note that Admirals Piett and Ozzel wear grey.

Karath looks great!
And sorry for the misunderstanding--I didn't mean to remodel the women's uniforms, but to retexture them so they don't look so tight. I don't recall if the original Sith uniforms were that tight in the crotch or not, but it would be nice if it was blended out so the pants don't look so uncomfortable. I don't know how easy it would be to do that though.
Prime -- or anyone else who may know -- is there any way possible to make the female Sith officer model so that she isn't constantly putting her two fingers on her hip when she's simply standing still. That always annoyed the heck out of me whenever I've done anything with that model. Is there anything that could be done for that or would that be too much trouble?

I think you edit a column in the appearance.2da file to change that.
Wow! Really? Which one?
(I was totally expecting someone to tell me, "Nah, it can't be done. It's the model file... blah... etc...")
Could you start a new thread for that? ;)
]Just trying to be consistent. :)
The typical insignia for an admiral might not be the most accurate one in that case. :)
Various statements in the game say that Saul is the "commander of the entire Sith fleet", which would most likely place him at a rank above just 'admiral'. He's probably a fleet admiral, a grand admiral or some other high rank (even in the U.S. Navy, admiral is not the highest one). NPCs probably just call him that because it's shorter.
But to the point, his rank in the Sith Armada is probably the equivalent of a grand admiral in the Imperial Fleet instead of a regular one. As a high a rank as the regular one is, it's not enough to warrant command of a galaxy-spanning fleet. :)
An excellent job on the skins, by the way. The Sith officers look much more distinguished. (I thought their original uniforms looked like hand-me-downs)

Whoops! Sorry Prime! :animelol:
(Shem, PM me if you would please. Thanks! ;))

I'm not sure how I can really rectify that. :( I never really gave it much thought before...

When I say consistent I was refering to the film characters, which is what I personally tend to give precedence to over the EU. But point taken. So a grand admiral version might be an idea. I'll see if I still have the energy at the end. :D
An excellent job on the skins, by the way. The Sith officers look much more distinguished. (I thought their original uniforms looked like hand-me-downs)That's what I always thought. They just didn't look intimidating enough. I guess I much prefer stuffy British guys as Imperials. :)
Whoops! Sorry Prime! No problemo! I figured also that it is an interesting enough question to warrant its own thread.
Touche. :)
I'm a nitpicker for these kinds of details. :p

Chances are I'll modify it for my own use if you don't, anyway. :p
I'd still change his rank insignia, though. :)
That's what I always thought. They just didn't look intimidating enough. I guess I much prefer stuffy British guys as Imperials. :)
Not just intimidating, but also prim and standardized-looking. In the movies all the Imperial officers had spotless, proper, simple uniforms (akin the stormtroopers). In KotOR they looked less tidy, and a bit more worn down. Didn't seem to fit the personalities of the Sith officers very well. :)
Now all we need is an Imperial Darth Malak :xp:

Those Sith uniforms look excellent :D i like the idea of toying around with the makeup of the Sith Academy. Always confused me that they all wear military style uniforms when they're training to be Dark Jedi... nice work.
That's exactly what I do. Well, one of the two wears robes.

Where can i get this mod Shem
Quick update: finishing up the readmes. textures are done...
So, when will this be released?
Everything is done, and I've created the page for my site. I just need to get everything onto the server. If I get time tonight I will do it, but at worst it should be in the next couple days. Sorry for the delay.

Don't be sorry, it's really worth the wait
The Imperial Officer mods are (finally) released. (

Next the Carth mod. :)
Sorry to bump this old topic. But when will the Carth mod be released?
- Ghost Down
Actually, it is still sitting on my harddrive. I'll try to get it posted on my site this week. To be honest I had kind of forgotten about it...
wow i cant believe i missed this one. BTW prime thanks for the publicity on your site
