My friend and I are new to this community and new to modding in general. We're kinda going into this blind, so if anyone could offer up any advice we would appreciate it immensely. I'll be looking at the KotOR tool soon, but as of now I really have no idea where to even start.

Thanks in advance,

Mercer and Ribon

Start with KotoR Tool, become familar with the way the game works, eventually you'll want to modify something specific.

Edit: Oh and don't forget to go through this subforum http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=592)

Well, just sticking around here you'll suck up loads of information anyway, but you can start by looking in the general tutorials and tools forum to see what you can do, for most of the editing you will need the kotor tool. Once you get kotor tool you should start out small by making new items and altering attack bonuses and defense bonuses. Dont make the same mistake i did and start out big by trying to make an entire new planet (well ok so yes we're getting there, but it is the hardest thing you can make for kotor). So something smaller to start with, and once you learn them you'll gain skills that you never thought you would learn.

Ohh, BTW welcome to the forums :waive1:

Edit: meh...T7's Beaten me to it. :comp9:

grrrr

Ras, just an FYI single word or smily posts are considered spam, especially around here. Though I do understand your frustration. Thanks. -RH
