Nah. Not really. I just thought i'd make a thread for the most meaningful thing you've ever heard. Why was it so important? Who said it? What was its effect? Just curious and I'm bored... *yawn*

From the Season 1 finale of Six Feet Under, Nate Fisher and A client, Tracy Blaire, are having a conversation...

"Why do people have to die?"
" To make life important. None of us know how long we've got. Which is why we have to make each day matter"

^Proabably one of the best movie quotes EVER.

I always liked the line in Blade Runner that goes along the lines of " It's too bad she has to die, but then again how many of us really get a chance to live?" I butchered it. I know. But it goes something like that.

I also recently saw Children Of Men. It was an insanely good movie. I defiantly reccomend going to see it if you can.
Theres a line in there about your ears ringing after a really loud explosion, and how that ringing noise is actually some of your ear drums dying. The ringing is the last time your ears will ever be able to hear that frequency again, so you should savor it while it lasts.

From Firefly/Serenity (various, no order):

Mal: "We've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty."

Simon: "It's my estimation that every man ever got a'statue made of him was one kind of sommbitch or another."

Mal: "Dear Buddha, please bring me a pony and a plastic rocket..."

Kaylee: "I carried such a torch and we coulda.... Goin' on a year now and I ain't had nuthin' twixt my nethers that weren't run on batteries!!"
Mal: "Oh GOD! I can't know that!"
Jayne: "I could stand to hear a little more."

Jayne: "Ten percent of nuthin' is...let me do the math here...nuthin' into nuthin'...carry the nuthin'..."

Jayne: "Well, Jayne ain't a girl. She starts in on that "girl's name" thing, I'll show her good an' all I got man parts."
Simon: "I'm trying to think of a way for you to be cruder. I just - It's not coming."

Sheperd Book: "If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater."

Kaylee: "You mean to say as in... sex?"
Simon: "I mean to say..."
Kaylee: "Well, hell with this. I'm gonna live!"

River: "Noah's Ark is a problem."
Book: "Really."
River: "We'll have to call it early quantum state phenomenon -- Only way to fit five-thousand species of mammal on the same boat."

River: "I can kill you with my brain."

Is it obvious I'm a Joss Whedon fan? Not nearly as fanatic as you'd think, but I do love the writing...because they make great quotes!

Oh, and yeah, if you want an important quote that affected me, it would be:

Some character from Werewolf the Apocalypse: "Thank god for the stupid."

THAT speaks to me.

You should make a CD. I bet all of us here would buy one. You could be a thrirty-dollarinaire. That's like a millionaire, but instead of millions of dollars you'd have like 30. Which according to my math is pretty close.

I tried to, but it sounded really bad. The best I've heard online was Mashi's friend Myhrr. She sang this song called "Secksay lava death" and it made me lol so much.

"And then I starred in another pornooooooo. And it was hooooottt. Literally, cause it was filmed in a volcanooooo! And that's the endddddddd!!!"

the book tuesdays with morrie is a real eye-opener.

it's powerful enough that it would've changed the way i look at things, but the only problem is that i'm too lazy to bother adjusting my outlook on life. otherwise, it would've worked. honest.

Life-changing events? I learned in health that since I'm left-handed, I had a twin that was mirror-image of me (right handed), that died in the womb. I HAD A TWIN, AND NEVER KNEW. I've got teh scaries now!
