This project has absolutely nothing to do with LucasArts. We're a Guild in World of Warcraft who're in the process of making a Monkey Island Movie, by using the script from Secret of Monkey Island, Fraps, and World of Warcraft. It's being directed by someone who is a huge fan of the classic Monkey Island Adventure Game
Parts of the original script were edited to make the project feel more like a movie and less like a video game, but other than that, the story will be pretty much the same to that of Secret of Monkey Island.
Nobody will be paid, LucasArts will be credited everywhere it is needed, filming will begin in mid-January and is only set to be released on YouTube, as well as various Monkey Island-based Fan Sites. Want to see the intro to the movie? It's a rough sketch, but click on the link below.
Aside from that, this movie will have voice-overs, but not the official voice-overs. Heh, sorry, but I doubt they'd even consider working for free on a fan-based project
It will either be through *believable* voices from our Guild, or through a public audition held on our Guild Website. This has not yet been decided.
