What's crackalack'n?! I was just wondering if someone might be able to answer a general question:
Was it Lee who fought in the civil war or was he in the war of 1812? If you can't answer that, then maybe someone might be able to tell me if mods can cause KotOR II TSL to crash unexpectedly? It might depend on the mod, or it just might be a known game crash, I guess -- but it's mood killer. Occasionally, Just before Kreia sees Sion coming down the hall of the Harbinger my game will crash. Now if I load before that, and try again, it will pass -- but any savegame I make after that event (meeting Sion on the Harbinger) and before me and Atton get to T3-M4 won't even load correctly. I mean, techincally it's no big deal -- I just passed it. But, it still bothers the hell out'a me -- and if mods are known for this I don't want it to happen again. Having to worry about my savegames loading or crashing really screws with what's left of my sanity!
If anybody knows how to fix these crashes or can recommend a classy methadone clinic for my PC I'd consider that a yahtzee.
If anybody knows what I'm talking about please explain it to me -- me and myself get along alright, but I's a real bastard, ya know?
Oh, by the way, I know this isn't a tech support forum, but I was hope'n all my buds here might have some answers and insights. Ok, to answer your first question he fought in the Civil War, and as to the second, it's the mod..... you will have to remove it to make it work completely.
Well how's it going, bud? You just are always help'n the crap out of me aren't ya? Thanks -- as soon as you said that I knew exactly which mod it was. And, removing it worked! It's a shame though -- no putt'n down Oldflash, but just incase he reads this he can know, and then maybe fix it -- though I don't see how. Which is probably why I'm the one asking the questions and he's the one making the killer mods! See, I used his Saber mod pack for KotOR and it works great. However, I know why it doesn't work so good for TSL -- it changes the default Sion saber to Darth Tyranus'. And, that, is apparently causing that clitch when you hit the in-game movie sequence. I'm gon'a still use it cause it's work'n good everywhere else, but when I get to Atris (the whole exile saber dealy) this will be confirmed (in-game movie mod glitch). So I just got to remember to remove that mod if those problems occur -- it might just be a one-time event. And it's hard to catch 'cause most people don't have OCD and have to make chaptered savegames to enchance an RPG. But I like to think of it a videogame viagra -- why play hard for an hour when you can do it for 4. So what if you go blind? You've seen it before. And mom was right -- my face did stick this way....
