Changing Component amounts?

Hello, I'm fairly new to modding and I need just a little bit of help.

Is the KotOR Tool capable of modifying the amount of chemicals/components you get by breaking down a particular item?

For example, I'd like to change the amount of components an Energy Shield would give me once I break it down. It normally gives 1 component. Is it possible to make it give 2 or more components at breakdown?

If it is...which file do I need to edit?

Thank you for your attention.

According to Redhawke in this thread (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?p=1768099&highlight=components#post1768099), you can simply change the .uti file's Cost and AddCost field.

But then according to Osuirof in this thread (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?p=2015538&highlight=components#post2015538), that didn't work.

I've never tried doing it myself but remember that the changing the .uti will have no effect on items that are already spawned. You'll have to get your hands on a brand new item to see the effect.

Moving to Holowan Labs since this is a general modding question.

Edit: Welcome to the forums! :waive1:
