You guys gonna buy one? I am. That review in the paper was pretty nice, but... no games. :(
I'm glad they're selling 'em in black and white too, cuz the brown isn't really my thing for mp3s.
now...what's a zune?
is this the new thing from microsoft that's trying to compete with ipod?
pretty retarded if you ask me. i don't think they'll outsell apple.
They look uber. I think the compatibility with iTunes certainly helps, as does the look of the thing. As far as I know, it has a bigger screen as well.
I don't think I'll be getting one; I don't listen to music enough to warrant a purchase, but they do look kick-ass, definitely.
eh. they just look ok.
i like ipods better.

Any particular reason for this?
uh...because they look better? lol

Oh no! Somebody tried to compete!!! You know what they say, ONE VISION ONE PURPOSE! STEVE LIVES IN DEATH!
competition is one thing.
ripping something off of someone else is another.
I want another MP3 player.
Not like I hate the iPod. Just 235 songs isn't enough! If I get enough money for christmas and birthday(Considering I'm not going on the school trip to Chicago) I'll probably buy the better shuffle that holds more.
EDIT! It's actually 135. And I just bought the Chipmonk Christmas song. 133 now....
=x not going on a trip to chicago? why.
chicago is only like...the most awesome city within a several-hundred mile radius of itself.

On our trip down to Chicago my NSI caught two of our more lionized members ****ing, he was not amused, those jerks tried to get me to stay in the room while they were going to do it so I could vouch that nothing was happening. I was not going to have any part of that.
My IRIVER IFP 799 is pretty full, not only that I didn't realize when I bought it that it couldn't play Audible files. Apparently I should have spent $20 more.
And outside that, there's Seattle, Whistler, Papamoa, Salem...

ripping something off of someone else is another. The iPod was a rip-off of the walkman. Beat that.
¬¬
not really.
an mp3 player is different than a cd player.

Because, apparently my parents still have to put braces on me. Even though they said I'd have them this past summer. Along with all my shots.
My parents are worse procrastionaters than I am.
Besides, the trip is like 400 bucks. And I refuse to shell that much out when I can just go there over the summer.

Don't whine, my wisdom teeth have been moving around heavily for almost a year, my parents don't think its necessary to have them ripped out yet.

Portillo's is worth the trip. It's like the best restaurant ever. I could kill a man just to taste their hot dogs again.

They both play music, they both skip tracks, they both have volume controls.
But, in all seriousness, the Zune isn't a rip-off. You can't really do much with a music player to make it totally different from the next one.
I was going to ask for one but I am getting a digi camera fo christmas.
Ha! Bought it. So far, my initial impression is the benefit of the doubt. It's more or less just as good as the iPod.

yesssss it is. and i live 3 minutes away from one. =D

All I want is a Nuke plant, we don't have one here.
I think the Zune is funny. MS broke PlaysForSure on it, so you can't use any DRM'd tracks on it (not that I would ever have those anyway - cds or nothing for me). I think it's also entertaining that it doesn't work with Windows Vista. LOL?

Link?
The pixels on the music video player sometimes go wacko - my first derogatory comment.

No it's not
In an iPod, the batteries fry after a specific amount of time and you have to get a whole new iPod.
In a CD player, you can keep one for pretty much your whole life provided you have the batteries and CDs.

I was actually making the point that both play music, both have volume controls, and both allow you to fast-forward/skip tracks. I was not talking technically. They're both music players.
PlaysForSure (

Vista (
http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=104)While) I am pretty appalled that Vista doesn't support Vista, the report didn't state that they were not going to bring out a patch; it would be suicidal for Vista to not to be compatible with the Zune, and it seems to me it's quite obvious that a patch will come out for the Zune by the time Vista goes out on retail. Don't get me wrong, I hate it when companies think you you download patches because their initial products are broken/lacking in features, but it's not like it will never work with Vista.
