i appologize if this is not the right forum, but perhaps someone will move it if it is not

anyway, i downloaded all redhawke's mods and i downloaded the hardcore mod (it's in german, i just put the file in my ovverride, i imagine that was correct?, then i just put the game on "difficult") but it's too easy. i'm just starting my star forge questing, canderious, carth, and mission are jedis. i've removed everything except for clothes and sabers (wow, these revan robes are bloody fantastic) from party members, am going it alone much of the time, but it's still too easy. i guess my next step will be just to remove crystals from lightsabers, don't want to remove these awesome robes. so i'm curious if i installed the hardcore mod correctly, and if there's anything else i should do to up difficulty?

i also am curious if there are any other great mods i should try? i've completed dantooine (for the most part), visited ordmandell (what a job that was, brilliant), yavin, korriban, and tatooine, but haven't done much on any of them. don't want to start new game.

thanks much, and really just need to say that the modders here are doing a fantastic work and folks like me who are totally unexperienced in such things are really enjoying them!!!! thanks very much!! kotor was my favorite game for xbox, and now on teh pc with sxga rez, settings turned up, fast loading, and all these great mods, it's taken on a totally new life. awesome

The Taris Upper City Emporium is for mod releases, so this shouldn't be here.

You could make the game harder by equiping a regular lightsaber with no upgrades. Or you could use cheats to lower your stats, and play through the game without party members. Lowering your treat injury skill would be useful as well.

If that's not enough, you could try modding yourself.

Installing the hardcore mod shouldn't cause any problems, as long as you put all the files in your override folder.

Oh, and welcome to the forums, uzibear! :waive1:

thanks; sorry, i knew i was in the wrong place.....oops

thanx for the input; i'm doing some of this, and it's working, but i'm mostly just confused if i've even got the hardcore mod working. it shouldn't give me a difficulty setting called "hardcore" or anything should it?

and i'd appreciate it if someone could move my thread to the appropriate place, thanks

thanks for the welcome, you guys are doing really great work

ps: oh, now that i read the mod in english it seems i may not have gotten to more difficult oponents yet perhaps, cool

Nope, it shouldn't do that.

Also, it's best to use the edit function instead of double posting. ;)

Uzibear, if you want a challenge, try this mod. This will give you something of a challenge to beat the game.
