Hi, I have made several maps for bf 2. I am currently involved in making a series of maps for my clan. I wish to remodel-reskin troopers and change their wepons. I have no experiance whatever doing this. Tips would be greatly appreciated! (by the way, i have gmax)

My second question: how do i create a custom hero and allow him to become the hero for a certain side on a map?

To change skins or weapons you need to create a new "side" for which ever soldier you are editing.
The "BF2 Jedi Creation" doc in the mod tools explains how to create a new side.
