I'm more of a Halo player than anything, and I remember the Map Packs were around $5 when they were first released, and after a month or two, they eventually became free. Any idea if the new Xbox content will become free anytime soon?
I think it might, they did something similar with the SWBF2 beta, it was first released for download with subscription only, loads of people paid and after a few weeks when they'd made their money, they made it a free download.
Although this is really, really late, they made the kashhyk asault(hero battle) free, but the pack with kitkisto, vetnress, and 4 new maps is 5$
