It's been a while since I filled you guys in on the happenings of the book. And I thought that it should be an idea, because I'm now ten pages into chapter 11. That mightn't seem like much, but when you take into account that a chapter is about 25 pages... I have 260 pages done. The end is actually in sight!
I listened to the radio series recently, for some ideas... and I can't believe how much better the story is now. I've pretty much entirely deviated from the original material, and the book is going to be superior in every way!
So rather than post some quotes that maybe won't make sense, I'll do this instead: these are some sketches I did WHILE I was writing. I do it sometimes when I'm stuck for ideas.

This is the Allocation Room, in the Department of Death. Essentially, the files of the people who are going to die are sent from 'Somewhere', and come out of the Vortex.
