Dear LA

I am sure you are aware of the growing unrest of the PS2 SWBF2 community.
I am posting these messages across the forums not to draw people to are cause but to maybe draw intrest from someone in public relations or higher up to this problem. I feel that this problem would be resolved if not the severity of it would lessened if the people that work on the patches and or public relations would actively seek a solution or an agreement to this problem.
Many clans and people are paying for server's for the PS2 SWBF2 community to use. This is fine but are server's are being over run by new people wanting to play this game. This is causing a problem with our game play as clans. We can no longer play on or own servers because there are to many people online and no public servers. If we lock our servers then there are not many server's for people to play on.
Many people are also upset that the PS2 ver. of SWBF2 never has received a patch to fix tech issues. While in fact Xbox and PC versions have received many patches. I am aware that patching a PS2 would be harder than the PC/XBOX due to the lack of hard drive. I think that the whole mater of the patch would go way if we were to receive some sort of verification that one is being work on and maybe an time table in witch I would be released.

If you feel that is post is in the wrong place or is in violation of any rules Please delete, Lock, etc...

Thank you

I don't know what you have heard, but I haven't seen the PC patch yet for SWBF2.

Personally, I had fun with the PS2 verson of SWBF but decided to get the PC version when the second one came out. If you want patches, mods and maps... you might want to do the same.

Yeah the Xbox people are about the only ones recieving any actual support for their version of the game so far (right?). Though that PC patch is supposedly on the way... we're past due for it right now! Still, it's not like the the Xbox people have that much over on us. A couple of SWBF1 maps, two Jedi heroes and a couple of maps given CDM support. That's it (and they have to pay for it).

Dear LA

I don't believe this website is affiliated with LucasArts so you can't contact them through posting here.

True this isn't and affiliated forums but there are PS2 SWBF2 member's here that need to know about this problem. Who knows maybe a LA Bigwig will stop in and read this.

True, but occasionally game developers (Raven, Petroglyph) do post here and once in awhile WebJedi from LA posts here. Whether or not they respond to your posts is another story. ;)

How would they release a patch for the PS2 if the PS2 doesn't normally have a hard drive?

there was a fine ps2 patch released for swbf1
it didn't fix nearly everything but it still made it much better
took up just under 3mb
there's no reason they couldn't patch swbf2
fix it so autoaim works for ont thing

could also use a linux server
I'd run a public server 24/7 on my second computer
cause I don't have to worry about hot weather hurting it
that would ease the overcrowding.
