Making OPTs is relatively simple once you get the basics into your head.
1. To create your own original OPTs you will of course need a 3D CAD Program. AutoCad is the preferred tool in this area as it saves properly in the DXF format that is used by ACE_DXF. Some other CAD programs will save in DXF, but the model may appear screwed up in ACE.
2. You REALLY need to download and read the GUIDE TO ACE_DXF, this is a 3part guide that can be downloaded from
www.code-alliance.com) (
http://www.code-alliance.com) , just go to the Xwing* pages. This guide will show you how to do the various things you need to do in ACE to create an operational OPT.
3. You may also need some various tools that can help in OPT editing/creating. Check my Utilities page for some of these tools.
4. From there it is just experimentation to see what you can do.
