Is it possible? If it is, then how will I do it? It is for a mission pack I am working on...

I know how for Jedi Knight, but it seems that xwa's cutscene files are lucasarts own type of file http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/frown.gif)

There has been some discussion on this before, we're not sure what the file format is or what LucasArts used to create and compress the files. However we were fairly confident that once these two things were discovered, user-made cutscenese would be possible, all you'd have to do is replace the XWA cutscene file with your own and XWA would call it up after the appropriate battle had been completed (this is also editable).

The file format is .snm, or Smush, a proprietary in-house design. It is based loosely on the Adler32 compression algorithm, which compresses and decompresses the file as is needed. Each frame has it's own wav file attatched to it, so the sounds stay consistent with pictures. All images are deltad, so they will be decompressed using one of Mark Adler's codec modules, starting from I believe Block 16 of each section.

Whatever codec format from Mark Adler they used, they also altered the source code to a large extent, so it's harder to crack. I've given up on decoding it, since I don't want more than two brain tumors. http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/smile.gif)
