I downloaded the demo from gamershell. After unzipping the zip-file and execute the empireatwardemo.exe i get an windows error message 1 second after clicking. There is a problem with setup.exe (inside the empirewardemo.exe?). The unzipping worked corect. I used 2 different unzip programs.
hmmmm.... thats weird, did you use winrar? Use that maybe it helps....
yes, i used winrar and later winzip.
The demo should be an .exe file, at about 759mb size.
It should unzip itself.
On some sites the the demo is a zip file. Like gamershell.com or most of the german sites.

myself and a couple others haave had the exact same problem. im now redownloading...
i actually had a problem with the demo after it was installed. wouldn't run at all and would just hang up at the loadng screen after i clicked the single player button. then again, i did an autorun after the install, so that might be my issue. retrying.
i was disapointed in graphics. I turned it to the max. Can someone tell me is it like in black and white it sets the textures for you. I mean if i have a bad video card for example, will i be able to set graphics detail to maximum or not; or will it just say the detail is at max, but really it wont be. Please help!
reinstall fixed the problem, so just do that if you have similar issues.

I have a problem with the demo exe! I downloaded the full demo exe. I clicked to the file ... and nothing .. no error, no install screen .. the exe just terminated ...
I probe 2 diferent computers.
DX version: 9.0c
Graphic card: GF GO 6600, GF FX5700LE
Cpu: 2400 MHZ Celeron, 2000 MHz Intel P4 Sempron
Ram: 1 GB

When i first download it, I thought it work but the instalation didnt come on
so before posting something else right click the game and click porperties if it show less that 741mb than your download crashed
