I just posted this in Ahto, and I thought I'd share the joy here as well.

Luciano Mares, 81, of Fort Sumner, New Mexico, found the mouse in his home and wanted to get rid of it.

"I had some leaves burning outside, so I threw it in the fire, and the mouse was on fire and ran back at the house," he was quoted as saying by AP.

Though no-one was injured, the house and everything in it was destroyed.

"I've seen numerous house fires, but nothing as unique as this one," Fire Department Captain Jim Lyssy said.

Heard about it this morning, and just saw it on the news, too damn funny.

The "everything destroyed" part is what makes it hilarious. They let a little mouse do that...

QFT. ;)

Indeed, he deserved it. :)

He should consider himself blessed he's still alive. The mouse didn't do too well in comparison.

Wow you people are mean, he doesn't deserve to die because of that....Have we all not killed something from a ant to any type of bug? He may have given it an uneccasary death but still. I don't think he believes to die just for that....Think about it....I personally don't think it is very funny ethier....

He hasnt died :D he house was just burned down. Jan says he should be happy that he is alive. The mouse simply burned down the mans house. Which is sad and yet hilarious at the same time. Hope he has mouse insurance :^:

I don't think it's sad he lost his house. :)
But of course I don't think he deserves to die aswell.

But on the other hand, the mouse didn't deserve to be burned alive either. ;)

If I were burned alive, I'd burn down his god damn house too. :D

Not ruin your fun, but I heard on the radio yesterday that said the story isn't true. Rather burning leaves blew on to the house and set his house on fire. So NO MOUSE.
