Ok, this is the ship I built from scratch. This is the first ship I've built so...... http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/biggrin.gif) This is the 1st picture, I have 4 decent ones but I'm not gonna post them all at once.

http://www.crosswinds.net/~tk421lpr/screen0.jpg)

It's lacking a bridge at the moment but only cause I'm having trouble getting that mesh to look right. Uh it also only has forward firing weapons - any one know how you use the mesh-rotation tool to set weapon fire arcs?

You need the Starfleet registry on the hull. Is that the Stargazer? Picard's old ride?

Very cool.

Stargazer, Hathaway, victory... They're all constellation class ships, they have been retired for some time now.

Plus, I can find the Reg number if you want me to, you see I'm the local Trekkie http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/smile.gif)

Thanks people http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/biggrin.gif)

Sure is Beastie, though I suprisingly couldn't find a reg number for it. That screenshot is just #1 (try the page I made) but you are right Decoy, it is a little simple (four sticks and a stretched circle).

Milkshake, I would be grateful if you could, I have all the names but no reg numbers for several ship classes, there was also USS Gettysburg and USS Magellan in this class.

I agree with you K_Kinnison, all the TNG stuff looks like someone flattened 'em with a hammer! That's why I'm doing The Original Series/The Motion Picture (TOS/TMP) ships, you know stuff like Enterprise-A Constitution-class and the Excelsior-class.

Zraii, sorry I didn't reply to your question earlier, No I'm not in any group, actually this Forum is the first group I've joined http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/smile.gif). OPT Alliance, well sure I'll take a look at joining. I see your page is under construction, I've done a little design in the past as a 2nd-income.

Thanks for the feedback!

Not bad, nice looking, though I really can not share you're feel about the NG ships. I like them better than most from the old series. But I HATE the new NCC 1701-E U.S.S. Enterprise. i think that one looks plain ugly. I think one of the most beutiful crafts in the series is the U.S.S. Defiant, now that's the type of craft I like!

Well I'm a little mixed in preferences really, I like the angular appearance and general design of the TMP ships like Enterprise-A, Miranda-class and the Constellation-class. But I also like the hi-tech looks of the TNG ships, it just that those saucers are too damn huge. I mean look at the Enterprise-C, the saucer is almost wider than the ship is long!

http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/biggrin.gif) I also like the Defiant, it's one kick-ass piece of hardware - a break from traditional Federation namby-pamby peace and loving.

I'm a Klingon fanatic at heart. The main reason I did a Federation ship is it was so darn easy to model. Uh, whats the local feeling on importing ships from other games? I've found this cool Klingon Cruiser Model from Starfleet Command.

I like the way they move the Klingon ships around like fighters more than a capital ship.
I've never liked the Federation's ships. From a defensive point of view, those big engine looking things out there all vulnerable...*drools at the tactical disadvantage*

Actually I think I meant the Enterprise-D in that previous post, let me think... yes I did. Enterprise-E, well it looks better than the D but it's soooooo stretched out. At least is looks like a Dreadnought (that's its shiptype)
