Well, I did I search through the forums and went back to december of 04 so I hope this hasn't been posted before...

Anyhow, while I was digging around my StreamMusic folder in TSL with Miles Sound Studio and I found a file called mus_s_romance.wav. So I opened it up, wasn't very long, less than 10 seconds... It got me thinking, at one time do you think Obsidian had intended to have a romance in TSL or is it just a coincidence that this this song has that name? Has it ever been used in the game? It sounds like an introduction to a character song or something of the like but I have never heard it play in-game... (or I just don't pay enough attention to what is going on :xp: )

Also, I found mus_atris.wav in the StreamMusic folder as well but again I have never heard it play. I assume it was supposed to play when you first see Atris at the Polar Academy or else was supposed to be the theme song for the Polar Academy but because of time restraints was cut...

AND (I know you want this post to end SO badly :p )

I found mus_traya which has an odd resemblence to mus_atris but a much darker tone, presumably if Obsidian had more time mus_traya would have played when you fought Atris in the academy or on Malachor V?

Thoughts?

Sounds interesting, you should check it ut a bit more. It wouldn't suprise me if they had planned a romance(s), maybe if there were meant to be someone could put them back in game. :D I always loved teasing Bastila.

I don't know about the others, but "mus_s_romance" is used in the 001EBO Prologue module in the 3cfd_int.dlg file. Not very romantic, but it's not entirely unused. :)

Kreia does mention the PC "charging up her (Visas') loading ramp". Check Kreia's dialog files for when the PC talks to her in her 'chambers', right after the
PC spares Visas. The PC then proceeds to get flustered and options are given to yell at Kreia or politely deny the accusation (I believe there are 2 of each). Infer what you want from Kreia's dialog :D

The Traya music uses the same climax as the theme on G0-T0's yacht. While I think you're right in assuming that it went with the Atris/Traya storyline, maybe it was precut for repetition. As for the Atris theme, I never really noticed that one, though it seemed to be a lot more synthesized than the others. Maybe they removed it because they thought it sounded bad.

I rather liked it. Another nice one is mus_800core, which makes a good alternative to the Jedi theme in-game ;)

^ That one I was really surprised at when I found that it wasn't in game. One of the really excellent scores in the KotOR II soundtrack. I mean, they even used it on the website. I think they should have made it more integral to the plot, rather than sticking it in the M4-78 Core. I mean, that was one of the earlier cuts, too. It could have even been put up on the site after it was initially cut. Oh well.
